Hi Philip hope you had a good time today if you went, I went to the Keighley gala today, really good, was going to have a 2nd day here but might head over to Haverthwaite instead to see leander and the ivatt running
@@northwesttrainsmodels Had a great day today thanks very wet and windy. Rode behind Britannia and Sir Nigel. I would live to see that Ivatt, I'd it 46521?
hi there i woke at the ELR How did they put Leander on the track at the lakeside Haverthwaite Railway The line doesn't connect to any Network Rail. Lakeside and Haverthwaite, Steam Railway didn't have special guests for years. It's a lovely place, lovely scenery, but I never get to see any visiting locomotives. at Haverthwaite, station does A tunnel. I wonder what's under the tunnel. Is it the end line? all the best from Callum 🤩🤩😁😁
Hi Callum all locomotives arriving and leaving Haverthwaite are by road and it was a very rare occasion to see Jubilee Leander there, i think it was ment to be last year for the railways 50th anniversary but they couldn't have the other loco ready in time, now both locos were running i think the beet family wanted both there locos running toghether before leander is withdrawn for overhaul, the tunnel at the end of haverthwaite station were the line used to carry on to Ulverston, you can go on a footpath above the tunnel and see were it leads, the track doesn't go very far and is just used to store some old wagons, heres a video if you want to take a look th-cam.com/video/avBlTOOIZeI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=nuVJYq6iyxPum27U
Hi there is quite a few oh though there's always more that need restoring or overhauling than operational at any one time, you might not have as many in the US but you have some great looking locos, I'd love to see one day, glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching. Tom
@therailtourer it did and was a shame as it was nice and sunny the first part of the day and britannia and sir nigel looked stunning, the rest of the day was abit dull unfortunately

It certainly is looking stunning
Brilliant video, I was at Bury on Friday afternoon, may go back on Saturday for a ride.

Glad you enjoyed the video, the wcr coaches looked smart but like u say the coach fleet could do with a coat of paint, thanks for watching. Tom
England seems to have a very large number of operable steam locos---many more than in the U S.

That Pacific is the same livery as Pitchford Hall now wears!! Lined black is a gorgeous livery for a locomotive.
Should have gone to specs avers. Lined green
