Thank you! This worked nicely on a RAW corrupted 64GB Micro SD memory card having its capacity reduced to 7GB's. The DiskGenius fix still left some stubborn folders I couldn't delete, so I did another format this time using an Android phone. (Phone formatting can sometimes fix corrupted cards). The micro SD was originally used in a cheap dash cam and it seems to be a common problem.
@siotibi827 how did you fix it ? I have a 128gb card and it only showing 8gb. I followed the guide but still having the same problem.

Fantastic video thanks, I have an SD card i'd used in a dash cam and i wanted to view the files on it in WIN 10, no chance windows wouldn't even list it in explorer, so I did all the stuff you mentioned, CMD command, clean command, partition, format etc and tried Disk Genius, although it is very good it just kept coming up with errors, I spent six hours on it and I was pulling my hair and still no dice. I googled this and googled that and I was going to chuck it in the bin, then I realised I'd got an old laptop with XP on it, fired it up and Bingo straight away the card showed up in explorer, reformatted it plugged it back into the WIN 10 PC and it showed straight away, in retrospect if I'd done that first I'd still have the video footage but nothing of consequence was on there so no major loss, at a guess if your using SD cards in cheap cameras (you have to format them in the camera first) I suspect this is where the problem lies, so my advice if your having these problems save your self masses of time and put it in a machine with XP on it, (if you have access to one of course)..

Was really close to fixing mine. But after doing everything and trying the software. It looks like it worked. But then all the data was still there. Legit think mine is now bugged. But this was still a great video. Saw muiplte vids. Yours is definitely better!

Thanks, Jim for the Video, I have a Sandisk SD card with 64 gigs & have Downloaded Disk Genius, My Windows 11 Pro doesn't recognize that Card at all in the disk mgmt or disk part nor does Disk Genius Using a USB Reader & Writer in my port being a SanDisk I find it hard to believe it's bad beyond repair, but it can happen because they are a reliable choice, I've even cleaned the gold contacts with rubbing alcohol and that didn't work any other suggestions? thanks, it's just frustrating not being able to use that Card Again!

hey is the deleting part something that i need to do? im trying this on a TB card.. and it might take forever.. but i want to format this.. i been at it all day.. but im assuming i can't skip the deleting part even if i never used it

Hey Brian can I fix the raw SD card in any way without deleting my data? Because whenever I plug it in it shows me a notification that I must format my drive before using it.
It didn't work. I followed the video and same issue, but after trying with DiskGenius and "create new partition" I go "save all", I go to "create format" and ended like nothing was saved or done. Like it didn't apply anything.
I have a microSD Sandisk 1Tb complete purchased days ago online. I want to use it for my Odin 2 console.
I just used MiniTool within the last 10 days to clone a hard drive to a solid state drive based on your recommendations. The video that I watched was " how to migrate an operating systeon on a hard drive , to a solid state drive" using the free version of the software. The operation work flawlessly. I don't know that I would say that the minitool software is no longer viable.
Can this work on a external ssd, all the problems I encounter is very similar or the exact same, I got a samsung t7 and tried changing the format but kept getting errors, it becoming raw, and now it won't show up in my file explorer.
About Diskpart, you can abbreviate most sub-commands by using the first three letters only.

I got a new USB stick in the post today, it is not recognised in Windows 11, I thought I would use your tip on it, in diskpart it comes 'the volume is not formattable' can not be seen in Disk Genius either any ideas or shall i just return it ?
Yes. Just return it. They don't all work, and sellers are used to dealing with that.
i have a usb drive 128gb that was set to read only by mini partition tool. Nothing i do will let me change it from read only. Help!!!
I did everything with my micro SD and in the Genius it worked, but File Exporer still doesn´t read the card and windows prompts for formatting, but it´s never able to do it. Goes back to that windows error. In Genius it shows all ok, but still doesn´t work. I´ve tried all other ways as in your video and none of them seem to work. After I create partition and save all, it prompts for formatting and the drive disappears from the mains screen. Yours says unformatted in red, mine too, but after formatting yours shows as Removable and mine just disappears. I guess the card is totally corrupted for some reason despite of no errors showed in testing.
What if there was data on the drive? I wonder if any of the recovery softwares we've discussed recently could do anything with this situation. Thanks & G'day! 👍👍👍

I followed the steps using the diskgenius app ang waited 3 and a half hours for cleaning then I did the new partition thingy, save and format and still nothing 😢

I have an SD card with undestroiable data. After formatting it just comes back and I can't put new files on it. I tried every command and tool before so I don't think any of these methods would help.

I was hoping to get my 256GB drive working but there is a lot of good data on it. What about a virus scan or some way to save the information on it.?

My drive was purchased new off Amazon, it was just completely unrepairable unfortunately, but it was only 1 out of 5 so it was a manufacturing issue.
Using Google to find fixes like these is pointless. It won't show text tutorials in the results anymore, just videos, most of which is unrelated to the specific question you had. Remember when you could find hundreds, even thousands? They removed those.
I try and show real problems with real fixes
It's worse when Indians use English titles in their videos but they speak Indian in the tutorial.

sd card disk ktory ukaze chybu/ raw/ nenacita obraz , je uz poskodeny, aj ked to formatujes fat, bude na chvilu ok, ale znova po dalsich spusteni bude ukazovat raw, cize nic nenacitas, ale prides o data. takyto disk je na odpis. uz som mal 3 rovnake pripady.

I think my microSD is totally dead, when I plug windows shows with 0bytes of space and DiskGenius show only 21 sectors as damaged.

In the end, I just used another laptop, and everything works perfectly.

I was so close to fixing it, but even disk genius could not erase the data, all pieces of it were good, but a bunch of sectors just didnt let it because "access denied"

@@kvnhernandez8 If you are still having the problem, i recommend just getting a new brand, i switched to Sandisk and it worked fine. I think they are like the best brand on the market for cameras, sd cards and stuff like that, but they are also affordable.

I don't think there is any use on fixing an unreadable RAW microSD card specially if that card is already old.
I mean if that thing goes corrupted for some reason, it is safe to say that its not a good idea to fix it and continue using it.
The video would be meaningful if it's a recovery mission. but since it was to fix a raw micro SD card.. what's the use of it then?
it's not a good idea to fix such and continue using it. the only people who gonna gain on such thing are scammers who wanna refurbished micro SD and sell it online XD
The card is fixed and working, why would you not want to fix a 128GB SD card if you can?
I have a few USB thumb drives that are just cheap Ali-Express models that are only 4Gb and I use them for mp3's in my cars. Every once in a while they become unreadable for some reason and Windows will not recognize them either. These 3rd party softwares are a great fix instead of trashing the media all together. Of course I would not trust that said media in the future for anything important.
This only works if the SD or USB drive is seen in disk management.

the one I am interested in is the No Media one. have a 1tb microsd and it comes up as no media and unable to format using any of these methods
