I would ask you, since I am fairly new to working with fondant, and not exactly sure what to do about this. Could I pipe a sturdy frosting into the middle for the stamen rather than using more fondant? (I'm making my sister's wedding cake, and she wants the lilies but is not too fond of fondant!) I'm trying to use as little of it as possible.
