Love these knives, Otter Messer make some fantastic pieces. The thre rivet is a great solid work knife👍🏻 Really like the bolsters on these. Pleased to hear you’re feeling better my friend and good to see you putting out videos again. Thanks for this one brother 😎👍🏻
I got mine soon after you released the first video on this knife. Just needed a nudge to get one and I'm happy I paid the under $100 price for it. 👍 I've put scales/handles on 3 knives using African Blackwood - other than lacking some variation in grain figure, I think it's at the top of the list for wooden knife handles. Still available right now but surely getting scarcer in the future due to CITES regulations.
Ah! Well I'm glad you snagged one at a decent cost. African Blackwood has a wonderful, smooth texture to it, that I simply adore. Sadly, it's becoming fairly hard to find! Cheers, as always!
Got one. The newer incarnation with steel rivets and smoked oak handles. I like it. However, I really wish that they would offer the version that you have with the Blackwood covers. Really dig it. Thank you for the show and tell. ✝️😀✌🏼
A nice patina on that knife. Funny that you've employed it as an eating knife, as, when open, it could pass for an eating knife from centuries gone by. I wonder what blade profile would require an 1/8" taken off its current length 😀. It wouldn't be the first time. Good to hear you're on the mend👍.
I have one of these and love it. Unfortunately it’s just a little too long for ûK carry. I do carry my white bone/blue bladed Otter. It a little little too long too, but it’s too nice not to carry it! I wouldn’t really call that gapping. At least it’s only an issue f me when it’s a gap between the liner and the scales or bolster. You really don’t want want dirt moisture in there. Anything between the liner and the spring can be flushed out when you clean and boil the knife.
Hi again, Slick! I remember you had a pretty impressive Otter collection. The White Bone looks great, it reminds me of my Kizlyar Gent. As for gapping, the 'gaps' on this piece don't bother me too much, but I figured I'd point them out for those who demand perfection. Cheers, as always!
Cool video. I love my 3 rivet they are solid work knives for sure.👍
Absolutely! I remembered you liking yours. Cheers!
I'm glad to see you back and are feeling better. 👍Thanks for sharing about this very lovely Otter Messer. Take care and Cheers!
Thank you and I'm glad to have you watching! Cheers, as always!

Glad to have you here! This is an excellent piece, indeed. Cheers!
Wonderful piece.
I’ve had my eye on the Otter Messer Anchor with Smoked Oak handles.
I enjoyed listening to you talk about this knife.
Cheers!
The Smoked Oak is delightfully matte. You should certainly get one! Thanks for watching! Cheers!

I really like the looks of that pattern. I don't own an Otter knife yet, but if I ever get one, it will be a Three Rivet. Cheers, buddy!
It's a spectacular piece! Cheers!

Hm, it probably could pass as such. 🤔 Regardless, the blade is a workhorse, just a shame with it's size. Cheers, Ian!

What's the best site to buy these on?
I got mine at Bushcraftcanada.com so that's who I'd suggest. Cheers!
