    Had a similar incident happen to me, that’s why I now wear a Tech-vest.

      I wear one when riding DirtBikes, but may start this year on the sled. My jacket and bag protected me ok, but not great… thanks for commenting!

    Struck a rock as well. On a 21 Expedition Sport. Looks like same setup as yours. Barely noticeable spindle damage, however upper A arm is busted. Got a new one and at stage now to get ball joint out of top of spindle and out of A arm. Not sure the process and your video concentrates on lower arm. Any assistance greatly appreciated. Great tips by the way....

      The upper has a retainer on it and it’s needs removed. Then it should press up from the bottom!

    You know, if a part is in a vise and you heat it; it will expand. But, being in a vise, it is contained, and the I.D. will expand some but is limited by the vise.

      Correct, but, aluminum expands more than steel at the same temp. So, the “vise” in this case gets larger. Pretty sweet huh!

    Does anyone know if the non T3 spindles for the XMs are interchangeable with the T3 spindles? I have a 2016 Summit with T3 and would like to use the stronger non T3 spindles if possible.

    • @DanMX2112
      @DanMX2112  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Almost positive they are, the angle is slightly different from my previous research. They should plug and play perfectly. The T3 are so much lighter, therefore get wrecked easy. Thanks for watching!

    Nice video, Thanks.
    I'm installing some alternative impact upper A arms on my 2022 summit.
    My question is how far should the spindle studs go into the spindle? Does the flare go all the way into the spindle or should you see a little ?

      The AI arms may be different, but in SKIDOO OEM arms there is always some showing. Not sure, but I would just run and it go with OEM torque unless stated otherwise by AI.

      Yes, all done with it.
      Same amount left out as with stock arms after all. Appreciate your video.

    You said you fixed the bent spindle. You didn’t tho? You replaced it. The bent spindle isn’t fixed

      Lol 😂 your right, I didn’t. But if only I could have, I would’ve saved myself $250!!!

    It would be better to heat it free of any compression, then do your stuff.

      If only it could be that easy….
