    We are starting off this smoked pork loin recipe with a 7.5lb pork loin that I picked up from Sams Club. We are going to cut it into thirds long ways, but be sure to leave 1-1.5in intact at one end. This is going to allow us to braid it. I used some yellow mustard as a binder and seasoned generously with the Sucklebusters Hog Waller. Now its time to braid it.... Check the video for the braid technique.
    Now that your pork loin is braided, lets get the Camp Chef fired up. We are going to set this to the high smoke setting which will give us the max smoke and keep the temperature around 220F. We are going to smoke at this setting for 1 hour, then increase the temp to 275F and continue smoking until we reach an internal temperature of 145F in the thickest part. While this is smoking, check the surface of the meat and spritz if necessary. I did spritz with pineapple juice a couple times during the smoke. When the internal temperature is about 130-135F, put a nice thick coat of some peach jam on the pork! I used a peach and apricot sauce and it turned out great!
    Now that you've hit 145F internal temperature, let the loin rest for about 10 minutes. Now its time to slice it up however you'd like. In my case I sliced it into smaller chunks, stuck a toothpick in them, and took it to a party as an appetizer. The rest we enjoyed sliced.
    Now when it comes to my easy smoked pork loin recipe... it doesn't matter if you are cooking on a gas grill, charcoal grill (Weber kettle, Masterbuilt Gravity Smoker), smoker, or pellet grill (Camp Chef Woodwind Wifi, Pit Boss, Yoder Smoker, Traeger, Green Mountain, Gorilla Grill, Lone Star Grillz etc). You can replicate these on anything! Just follow the temperature guidelines and you should also have some great results.

    I made this! Followed these cooking instructions and topped with my homemade bbq sauce! Hands down the most fantastic pork loin I've ever made! I usually struggle with it turning out dry and have never really loved a pork loin. Smoking this loin on my camp chef is new for me but a game changer! Thanks!

    Wow that's a pretty nifty way of smoking a pork loin I have seen. What inspired you to prep it this way? The peach and apricot glaze looked to fit this recipe to a "T". I'm not sure about a grape flavor would go real well but pineapple or strawberry would be real interesting to me. Thanks for the informative video Anderson's SmokeShow!!

    • @AndersonsSmokeShow
      @AndersonsSmokeShow  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve seen braided meat before... I think it was a pork tenderloin. I’m my mind food is all about presentation, so I thought that this would be a very visual recipe.
      Yeah grape doesn’t sound appealing to me either by a pineapple does for sure! I think a peach habanero would be really good as well! Thanks for watching Timothy!

    I'm going to try this today. I'm doing on the MB 1050. Would you recommend doing this on the middle shelf or directly on the grill?

    • @AndersonsSmokeShow
      @AndersonsSmokeShow  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      On my 560 the temp at the grate can get pretty warm, so I’d probably do it on the middle.
