I'd like to see all the Goetia highlights that you'll make using this memorial quest in a highlight video or something. It's super fun to see all the tactics to use against that 1.5 million HP boss.
I ran the numbers in the chaldea app with that exact setup and if you swap out hijikata with another dps and keep everything else the same Illya is second best by quite a large margin. She's got the guts and invul to make it work too.
Brought out ol' reliable, the og demon pillar slayer, Ushi. Castoria blocking first wave, and then with Miss Crane, Skadi, and Osakabehime buffs fired off a 1.2M NP and then finished it with some crits. Goetia's head never stood a chance, just like before 😁
That was awesome. I had to retry 3 times not knowing why Goetia didn't you his np turn 1. Only to realise that if he is skill sealed on 1st turn. He won't charge his NP. So yeah, the more you know.
I only managed to get 600k damage with my Saber, but I guess that's actually pretty good for an aoe NP on neutral damage, and with the full buster crit brave chain it was enough to absolutely demolish Goetia. It's always fun to win battles like that with your favorite Servant. Even if you need a lot of good supports to pull it off.
You know you're insane if you know what you're doing with Hijikata. All I did is use a combination of Rider Kintoki and Castoria's NP just to make sure I have something to block Goetia's NP. It was harsh, even sacced a Command Spell for another anti-Pierce Invul NP, but I pulled it off.
I went for the blast from the past Herc solo. Didn't even use the first servants to weaken Goetia, just went support Merlin, Chen Dong to guarantee Merlin dies, and Herc.
Meanwhile, I couldn’t be bothered to figure out a decent team after a few close calls where I almost won, so i went with Jeanne, Castoria, and a support Merlin and chipped him down over like, 43 turns if I recall correctly. Using the special Invul to bypass that first NP was about as complicated as my planning went, lol.
So our eldritch pancake daughter has insane value after all. Jokes aside, I actually use her for her massive def down, debuffs and whatnot normally with a dps during event missions. She can also clear one of the waves with a charge CE and the right supports.
This is really fun I remmember how much i struggled with Goeatia until I saw a guide how to solo him with a freind hercules with his bond ce, but now it is fairly easy ^^
Those numbers are pretty nuts! Unfortunately I don't have the units for such shenanigans, so I solo goghed him. And seeing him suffer between my terror spam and gutses while hitting for way over 100k per facecard was also pretty satisfying :D

I used an NP5 Vlad with MLB Black Grail, double Castoria, CasGil with maxed skills, and a plugsuit. I also used GIl's NP before Vlad's to lower Goetia's defense. Only managed 1.8 million, but it gets the job done.
Totally decided to copy your strat. Used Illya and castoria instead of Hijikata and Reines. Managed to pop some onechan numbers with 1.8M damage. My Illya is np2 lvl100 1k foud with non MLB BG so she can definitely do even better numbers. Pretty fun video, keep it up myst
Didn't even know this was the trend, did the same but with a np 2 Kama with non MLB Black grail and reached a mere 2,000,000, satisfied tho (Uploaded it on the channel if anyone interested)
I got my Ushiwakamaru to clap him for 700k with my very poorly planned setup. After Goetia def downed everything to death 1 hit at a time, Nobunaga and Nobukatsu finished the job.
Nice setup! I think if both of the Merlins had Ox King CE and you managed to charge Merlins NP in the first turn and use it on second (thus not needing the lion) you would squeeze a little bit more?
The Ox-Demon King CE's Buster buff only lasts 3 turns. Goetia's NP damage buff also lasts 3 turns, so it wouldn't work in this setup. I think the healing on Merlin's NP (1000 to 2000 depending on NP level) would overheal and prevent Hijikata from ending at 1 HP.

Yes, because Oberon can multiply any NP damage up so for example the 80% from black grail will become 160% and that's not even counting his own np buff from his first skill or an np dmg up from a mystic code. If you want to deal the highest possible damage in a single turn with a character that has a damaging NP then you'll always want an Oberon in team regardless of the card type, even better if it's buster so it can benefit from the additional 50% buster up from his third skill. That being said, usually the best comps involve double Koyan + Oberon instead of double Oberon + Koyan because many character can benefit a lot from the cooldown reduction to their skills and double Oberon also cannot stack his np dmg multiplier.
He gives himself a ton of np strength buffs, invul pierce, and fully charges his np , this can be avoided by sillas sealing him or giving him a buff Block ( it will not stop him from firing his np but you can actually defend against it)
Yeah anyone who got double Merlin as support for Berserker DPS(from what I watch from Arjuna Alter at lvl120😳😳😳)can one shot Goetia in one turn🤣🤣🤣. But I cant do that and need to spend 3 Command Spell and killed Goetia by lvl60 Paracelsus(my only survive servants🤣🤣🤣)
Don't get me wrong, it was good. Buuut... Limit broken Ox-Demon King CE could have dished another 15% Buster buff, plus Abby's skills weren't level 10. We haven't seen the absolute limit is all I'm saying. We could take Hijikata even FURTHER.
You are right about Abby's skills but there was no room for Ox king to work. I said at the start that the support Merlin CE doesn't matter because even if he had an Ox King, the buff would expire 1 turn before the nuke turn. The backliners needed their battery CEs for it to be 100% consistent and Abby couldn't afford to hold a 5 star CE due to party cost.
4:44 - The sleep does have to land, her skill effect is 50% def down on sleeping targets. So if the sleep misses the def down doesn't work.
Ah I forgot about that condition, was just thinking about the CC part.

Yeah there's several ways to stop him from using his NP on turn 1.
