Truly the king of E rank luck! I couldn’t believe it was happening until we started get close to it, then it started to sink in that we were witnessing history. Pity system really is made more for whales but it’s not the worst thing. I’m just glad we have it for those moments we fear in our gacha nightmares.
It's made for whales in JP, but for us in the NA version, it's a godsend for F2P players, because we can see two years into the future and specifically save up the required amount to guarantee a featured servant. Hopefully there'll be no more horror stories about people throwing 2000 free SQs into the gacha without getting Skadi or Merlin.
@@MuhammadKharismawan Not really. Someone at GP did the calculations, and according to them, you could get about four guaranteed SSRs a year this way. That said, this only applies to NP1, as the pity only triggers once per banner, and you can still get lucky before reaching 330 pulls. All things considered, this pity system isn't particularly generous, but it's still leagues better than the laughable USO system we have right now.
@@Horvath_Gabor USO is still the only way to guarantee you can save on that pity tho. But really? We got about 3600 Sq in a year? So around 300 sqper month? Really?

im not gonna lie. as someone who started with fgo and branched to more gacha games later. it is kind of sad to hear people say a pity for 300 pulls that doesnt even carry over is anything close to good lmao.
Woa there, wasn't expecting a pity system to come out of the blue like that! It's obviously not great considering it takes almost 5 and a half $80 packs (about $440) to trigger it and doesn't carry over between banners but it's better than nothing (copium) and if nothing else will at least prevent some of the most gruesome gacha horror stories like the now infamous "Oberon Saga". Can't believe Myst already took one for the team and showed us how it works though. Not the best way to start the new year so here's to hoping it doesn't happen too often moving forward lol. Yeah I'm glad there won't be another Oberon situation since that was actually painful, but I do hope they'll change the pity system at some point since it is fairly unrealistic, like at least make it carry over to other limited banners or lower it a bit more
Since you made a legend of yourself, I finally realized an idea because this kills the Salt Movie series in one way, but revives it into a new one: If you hit MAX pity again, make the entire session unedited like the other Salt Movies. I dub the new series: "Pity Shakers".
Went for Merlin or Skadi, got Sherlock in GSSR. I never get the units I want/need in GSSR but got NP2 Koyami from the paid quartz I still had left over so that's a silver lining

But hey it's something Honestly wish they dropped the number down to 600 instead as nearly 1k is insane for every banner to get a "gurenteed" ssr unit. This was the number I made as a joke months ago and they actually did it and only once time per banner. They sure know how I ea it up. Won't affect me much on na. Only got two or three banners left to roll.

That's the scariest pity system I've ever seen. At least they added one, I've heard of whales not even getting their rated up 5* after 2000th sq was plugged, but that's still one of the scariest pities I've seen.
I also really hope we get another Koyan of Light rerun banner on JP BEFORE we get Light Koyan on NA. Bc I want to know ahead of time whether I should whale on Koyan or keep my sq for the guaranteed summon on rerun. I’m gonna save up at least 1000 sq for her first banner either way.
I had high hopes we'd get a second chance to roll for Light Koyan during Tunguska, but now... now I'm just hoping she ever gets a rerun (now that I have enough to hit her pity counter).

I actually got a ruler too on my GSSR, only in my case it was the Chinese Emperor himself, not my first choice (Castoria) but I would say my second choice on that banner considering I already had 2 out of the 5 (Van Gogh and Crane). I know, not the smartest choice for a GSSR, having a 40% chance of dupes, but what can you do, sometimes you just have to follow your heart and that told me CASTORIA, no matter what. Oh and my Koyan of Darkness came within exactly 33 rolls... basically same as you, minus a zero... but who's counting, right?
