The black one looks so stealthy! I’m glad Audi finally realised that fake exhaust are a complete nonsense in terms of design. Hopefully fake vents will follow suit! Anyways, I love this new iteration of the Q3!

I’m not a big fan of Coupe-style SUV’s but here I think they’ve done quite well. 05:05 like the German lesson for today. So true - options options options - a big pain in the backside. Less legroom in rear! Not so keen on dark gloomy interior - prefer pale or bright. Great driving roads, lovely region, great driving. I like the big warning light on the BLIS. Many thanks Thomas. Greetings to Holger.
Another great review Thomas. This particular review helped me to decide between the standard Q3 & the Sportback and between the two engines. I’ve just ordered a Q3 SB 35 TFSI s-tronic. Incidentally, I think the 35 or 45 TFSI badging relates to the revolutions at which max torque is achieved but I’d rather it just showed TFSI as it does on my 2017 A4. Another consideration for engine choice apart from fuel economy was that here in the U.K. once the list price goes above £40k the VED (Road Fund Licence tax) is increased by £310 pa from year two onwards. Once a few options are added, as I did, that figure is soon reached.
1:05 that black is absolutely stunning. Black can either be plain or absolutely gorgeous, like in this shot. I bet Thomas wouldn't mind driving one of these every day hahaha
Great review once again. I have the previous generation Q3 with the 1.4L engine. On the highway it can switch to 2 cylinders when traveling at 100 or less and drops consumption to 4.5L/100km. The 2.0L can’t deactivate cylinders.

Very interesting review - it seems a little more of a space compromise vs normal Q3 than BMW X2 vs X1, but the styling is good. Not sure about the 1.5 engine, I’m not a fan of cars which are “more show than go” and also here in the UK we prefer the extra traction of 4WD because we don’t use Winter Tyres, which means the 2.0 will probably be the more popular choice.

You should test it when the sun is out, the blue Alcantara surface might be a distraction in such a situation. I disagree with you on the leather part, in some markets choosing the non leather interior brands getting the base version. Luxury car buyers are unlikely to go that way with such an expensive car.

You should test it when the sun is out, the blue Alcantara surface might be a distraction in such a situation. I disagree with you on the leather part, in some markets choosing the non leather interior brands getting the base version. Luxury car buyers are unlikely to go that way with such an expensive car.
Time for a mind shift. First, check out what the leather industry is trying to do:

we ll try to get an XT4!
@@autogefuehl Nice!
Great review Thomas. Blue alcantara interior accents are bad design choice IMO.
cheers m8 !
They should have put 2.0 110kw instead of 1.5 and also offer it with awd like the 110kw diesel.
(I think) this is the most beautiful design of audi. Except interior! Especially middle console screen, because i can' t feel what i'm doing while in driving. We are human we need feel something for doing.
