An OG Colorway On Big Bubbles! Air Max 1 '86 'Royal' In Depth Review and On Feet.

In 1986 Nike released the Air Max 1 with a larger visible window but quickly found out it led to the midsole cracking in cold weather. Fast forward to 1987 and the game changing Air Max 1 was redesigned with a smaller window and became the shoe we all know and love now.
Nike eventually figured it out and re-released the Air Max 1 with the larger window and in preparation of Air Max Day 2024 we're getting an OG Air Max 1 colorway with 1986 tooling. Liking the blue ones simply it's easier to match with any colour of shorts/long pants.
Not a fan of the small bubble unit Air Max 1 because I find the midsole on those stiff and it gets uncomfortable on long walks but these I give a thumbs up.
The Air Max that I'm really after are the Sunder (my very first ever Air Max) which will be re-named/re-branded as SNDR and is coming out around fall season.

those small bubble AM1s do feel like bricks on your feet. The leather ones that came out a year or two ago are slightly better on comfort but im waiting to see how comfy the big bubbles are. I know the AM1s from years back around mid 2010s are completely bricks on the feet.
