Great guide! Just a quick addition: Exfiltrate makes you immune to almost all damage for 2 seconds for Concealment (Shadow Operative Elite passive) by giving 200% defense and resist chance.
If you're using acid lash tactical, the rotation is so much easier if you prioritize using laceration before veiled strike. The damage difference is very minimal while not having to think as hard. Good idea on when to use crippling slice. I've heard a few different ways to try and maximize this abilities auto crit for next attack.

IDK if you answer comments from videos a few days old but I just returned to swtor i use to play a long time ago and i only ever completed the bh story line so i have returned to play all the story lines and max out as many characters as I can. I recently finished Sith warrior and am starting Imperial agent and i gotta know something my favorite lines are Sith juggernaut rage, Imperial agent lethality, and Republic commando assault specialist also mercenary Bodyguard. Are these viable for pvp and pve content enough so that i can do well? Thats all I ask.
Great guide, as always. In my almost 10 years of casually playing this game, my main has shifted over time, but my Concealment Operative has always been a nice, comfy space (partially because of the stellar class story, which was one of my first). And I have always included Corrosive Dart as a standard part of my rotation. I have never really had energy issues, but I am quite comfortable weaving in Rifle Shots to manage energy and I am not a Master Mode progression raider). You have convinced me to leave it out, though, and save it for special occasions ;P One question, though. Why use the autocrit from Crippling Slice on Volatile Substance (~25k damage) rather than Backstab (~30k damage from stealth or with the Volatile Substance buff)? What am I missing in this equation? Drop the knowledge on me, brother!
Essentially it comes down to a timing issue, backstab is our highest priority with a 12 second cooldown, crippling slice has a 15 second cooldown, meanwhile volatile substance has ~18. So we *can* use it for backstab, but then we're not going to have it for the next backstab, then suddenly you're trying to remember to use it on cooldown instead of on our highest damaging abilities, so it gets used on a laceration or a veiled strike instead of on another heavy hitter. However, if you get into the habit of volatile - ability - slice, it will auto-crit a very hard hitting ability every single time, resulting in an overall dps gain. Now, you CAN use it on a backstab, absolutely, especially if it lines up perfectly with your volatile substance, but it just gets wonky quickly if you're not careful with it.

It's still the best one for sustained single target, but that's mostly due to a lack of decent alternatives. Volatile Strike is pretty good though in flashpoints, heroics and PvP, and you can always play with explosive cells for memes

Really helpful guide. Swapped over from Lethality to Concealment as I already have a lethality toon. This is super helpful :)
I love operative fantasy, a non force guy that use skills to take down jedis with knives but damm why do we need to carry a big blaster?

rage, leth and bodyguard are all doing fine, assault specialist struggles a little bit right now but it's okay.

What's a more no brain needed class? Concealment or Lethal? I played Deception Assassin, which puts out 22k+ DPS while I sleep.
