Loved the guide. What UI are you using for the center main stack? Also what website did you get the mods from to see the tick cooldowns or is that an actual UI adjustment? If so I haven’t done enough research and i feel dumb lol😅
Mark, when you say "for pvp equip a shield and the rest is crit" are you saying the tank should be wearing DPS armor as well? This would also apply to Juggy and Sin. If this is the case, the special exceptions would be tank doing hutball relays in full tank gear.
heyo thanks for the guide=) since my pt tank is not one of my main toons i struggle to reach the 6k shield (i mostly have green 326 gear and older augments on) but how bad is it?..i mean i have less shieldchance ...roghly 45% now..but its not a treshold like alacrity...so it should do right? im not planning to do vm or nim ops on this toon
Thank you! Per your question: that's more than enough for the content that you're looking to do, PT is so naturally tanky that you'll survive a whole lot, even without perfect stats.
When learned to play for the first time i hated threat. I had no idea what it is because there is no such stat or anything, like its literally nothing but a fact, that you generated some kind of threat you cant even track in numbers
The only thing going through my mind watching this video was AMATEUR! You may know powertech but you are doing things wrong in that Flashpoint. Frist thing, whats with all the moving your a TANK you don't move unless an aoe is there. Second thing is why do you always make the mob or boss face the group? The whole point when you pull is to face them away from the group to reduce damage. So the healer heals the tank and the tank only. Unless dps is spacedumb and walks into the dps. Who also you can't really say those things anymore, they will kick you and find someone else. I've done it and they have done that to me also.
@@Taboweither697 My guy you are losing your mind about twitchy fingers in a flashpoint that has literally no AOE in it, where maintaining agro on the mobs to make sure that they don't use their single target damage on our DPS is very important, and our most effective AOE threat generator is a circle around us, which requires us to get into the middle of mobs and position them correctly, and we need to move to make sure our conal hits all the mobs to maintain agro to make sure the mobs don't target our teammates because, again, no AOE, and then you missed the obvious joke at the end and interpreted it as being serious. Size 16 clown shoes.
Sorry that was probably too harsh. Been wiping up dog Diarrhea all morning around the house and I'm not in the best of moods. Point still stands about Cad's lack of AOE, but you make a fair point about generally positioning away from the group.

so i just started tanking and thanks for the great walk through and intro.
i think the 50% damage redirection on guard only applies in pvp. pve only has the 5% reduced damage taken and threat gen reduced

Go to Preferences - User Interface - scrool down to Cooldown Settings - mark Show Cooldown Text. Hope it helps!

Why is your survivability so high? I never get past like 44k and that is WITH my purple augs and 336 gear on, am i doing something wrong? @Mark Biggs

You can track it with Star Parse. We use it in our ops groups.
700 Bio or 700 cyber for a shield tech??
i'll be honest it doesn't really matter, but it's always nice to have bio for resuable adrenals and medpacks
