  • Hi lovelies, if you are looking for the easiest,super creamy recipe for kunun gyada (groundnuts pap)..my dear you are absolutely in the right place.

    For the ingredients you will need:
    -2 cups groundnuts
    -1 cup rice (white rice for Tuwon shinkafa)
    -1 Cup lemon juice

    My process is actually differnt...i blend the groundnut and rice seprately, cook the groundnut first,bring it down from fire, mix the lemon with the blended rice n mix with the cooked groundnut....it thickens immediately... No stress of stiring throughout

    Wow! Where do I start? Thank you so much for this recipe.. I have just moved to the US and was lost for how to make the groundnut paste for Kunun gyada, watched your video and made it today, received compliments I added tamarind though, my husband loves it. Please post more videos of Hausa food-danwake etc if you can. Ramadan Kareem from Maryland.

    I’m a student outside Nigeria. Today is Ramadan and I’ve missed the test of Kunu which is my favourite. Glad that I’ve found a channel that can teach me stuff. My question is how can I add sugar?

      The lemon juice improves the taste and the colour, you can serve the kunu with sugar or honey
