they should do a patch with a list of enemies who danced to the groovitron and enemies who didn't yet, it would save alot of our time, I've just finished a run and I really don't know what i missed.
You forgot the birds (Purple Variant) in Pokitaru. Gotta be careful making a guide like this, cause a whole lot of people will get fucked over if they follow it.
Whoever thought this trophy was a good idea needs to be shot. Game doesn't track, doesn't count across playthroughs and somehow the Rilgar Pool Shark is a different enemy type when swimming vs not swimming. Seriously, that last one would have gotten me if not for this video. So much rage right now....

It's the fact that they jump into the reboot and complain that dev's need to be shot for coming up with a trophy idea that has been a challenge throughout the series ever since the weapon was introduced. The problem is that you get that weapon later in the game, which means you must do a 2nd playthrough to use it against the enemies of the first half of the game

ive played the game more then 10 times and just had the trophy pop on pokitaru by throwing a groov outside the map at one of the giant fish that 1 hits ratchet if you go to far out... so ...

@@jaja8951 No, the enemies you hit by the Groovatron in your first playthrough are carried over to the Challenge mode, so you can easily pop it on Veldin or anywhere
Good and clear video. Too bad there is no tracking for this trohy since most players will get most of the enemies with the groovitron without even trying.
So for anyone playing this in March 2021. I got this on my 3rd playthough. Just use the cheats for unlimited amo and unlimited health. You don't need to kill any of them. Just drop a disco ball and make sure each of them is dancing. Soon as I got to the end the trophy popped, thank god. As I really didn't want to play this a 4th time!!
On my fifth try, this trophy is either glitched or doesn't carry over for playthroughs because from playthrough 3-5 I have been ridiculously thorough and it just won't pop the trophy.

I repeated the game 11 times to get this trophy, and I discovered something really important. You have to make all the Monsters dance in one play through, I didn't know that, I kept skiping the monsters I was sure I made dance, but I discovered it has to be done in one play through after hours of pain.

Your opinion means fuck all", and then deleted it because 1) it's not opinion, it's fact and 2) the fish did that twirling thing in the water more often without the groovitrron than with it. Ok just popped this trophy and I can confirm whoever you got your first playthrough with the groovitron still counts on the second but how I did it was enable the cheat for unlimited ammo on your challenge mode playthrough if you have all gold bolts or however many you need for the cheat and then every encounter on every planet throw at least one or two or more to make each enemy dance at least once and then just kill them and move on if you have unlimited ammo and invincibility on it'll go by so quick hope this helps anyone.
@@pizamogaming3538 I believe that when the disco ball makes the enemy dance, it already counts to the progress. So yeah, you can kill them while they are dancing.

Okay, I think I've worked it out. It looks like your progress from your first save will transfer over into challenge mode. But the record is wiped clean in any subsequent challenge mode runs. I can't prove it without further testing, but I believe this is the way it works.
+Commercialmaaan ill test this out for you, just started a new challenge run, ill ignore an enemy that i know ive made dance before (The litte red robot with blades since i know they always respawn) and see if the trophy unlocks. I just started a new challenge run so probably finish tomorrow or the 6th
the infinite ammo and invincibility cheats make this a lot easier. i just spammed the groovitron on my 3rd challenge mode playthrough and got it in one day in two sittings. about 3-4 hours maybe. and i now know for a fact that enemies don't carry over from challenge mode playthroughs because i got the trophy the moment i used it on dr. nefarious and i specifically remember using it on him on my previous playthrough. but yeah, bottom line: get the golden bolts, get infinite ammo, spam the hell out of the groovitron. my game crashed for the first time when i was jetpacking around gaspar and throwing one at every group of enemies i saw but i finally have the platinum and it was so worth it.

I think enemies most likely to miss are the glow blobs in Veldin, the birds and the pool sharks. The glow blobs and pool sharks are annoying as not many places they appear.
I got it on my 4th playthrough....... You have to make all of them dance in one playthrough.... I will NEVER touch this game again omg. And awesome video, thanks!
Cant be in one playthrough. At first i wasnt looking forward to grinding out many playthroughs as other ppl seem to be doing but i got it first attempt by the time i reached quartu
Lmao this alone should be the platinum trophy, all of the other trophies are sooo easy to get bu than there’s this one. Had the game since it came out I now have been attempting this trophy on ps5. Been putting in hours. Following this guide I’m praying to god it works
This is genuinely the stupidest trophy I’ve ever had to get in a game. There is nothing rewarding about this. It just waters down the entire game and removes any fun from subsequent playthroughs.
Just got mine. Started a new game, got the groove, and tossed it at everything since it was available. Then on challenge mode I threw it at the red robots that spin w blades and the flying dinos there and got it. So I do not believe you need to hit them all in the challenge mode, only the ones you missed. Lame ass trophy nonetheless but the platinum is mine!
I freaking did it on my first try! Thank you so much, was nervous as hell while reading the comments. Few tips: 1) Do exactly what he does in the video. 2) No matter what, try to spam the groove bomb as much as you can. I used it almost on all the enemies. 3) Dont forget to get the creature's on top of the waterfall on Pokitaru. 4) You dont have to wait for them to die or anything. Just throw the bomb wait for a second and kill them, it will count. Good luck.

Do the enemies that you make dance in Playthrough 1 carry over to Challenge mode and onwards into further Challenge mode playthroughs, or do you have to start again from scratch?
So for the past 5 hours I've watched this video step-by-step... Constantly thinking I've messed up and then I got to Doctor Nefarious, paused the game and took a moment to say a little prayer...I threw the damn Groovitron at him and missed twice 😂😂😂 He began to dance and nothing, for a moment that is. Thanks for the video, just finished platinum on PS5 with 60fps update. Can confirm you absolutely have to do a full 3rd run if you miss out on those two tentacles on the train. Third completion wasn't too bad speedrunning the game with infinite ammo :)
I did get this trophy finally on my 3rd play, i did everything like on this video, except that fish in the sewers while she swim, i did it only when she was on the ground, also i did that purple bird on pokitaru where you have to find way to the top of waterfall. very annoying trophy. cheers guys.
Just did this last night. Make sure to do it all in one run of the story. Also somebody said to do the flying dinosaurs in pokitaru. I did it to be safe. Hopefully everyone can see this! Happy trophy hunting!

By using this guide, I can confirm that I did get the trophy after 3 runs of the game. I also got the purple birds on top of the waterfall on Pokitaru. I can also confirm that progress does not carry over for the separate challenge runs (at least not for me). I still had to get everyone on this list, including the purple birds, in order to get this trophy. I got the trophy when I made Nefarious dance at the end. I finally added another platinum to my collection, and yes I did follow the guide. I got everyone and got the trophy. Thanks PowerPyx
Aside from those birds on the top of the Waterfall, I figured out there are still #12 : Green Tentacles on the Train mission from Kerwan. Since this is only appeared in this mission, you're very much likely to miss it, so please pay attention.

works January 2022!! Got platinum after playing 3 times. 1st time: story, enjoying game 2nd time: simple trophies and improving at game 3rd time: long trophies (death by disco, trespassers I missed, unlock every upgrade, level every weapon etc)
Well that video showed me that I would have to do a fourth playthrough to get platinum just because of that tentacle thingy on the train. Fuck that aint doing it...
Friendly reminder this has to be done in one play through, you can’t get an enemy one play through and not the second play through . They have to all be in one run 👍

I was doing Challenge mode, and so I was using Groovitron everywhere. Thought I missed the Green Tentacle on Kerwan Train, but after dancing with Nefarious I got it.... huge relief..
I just got the trophy so let me clarify some things. The swimming fish is still unknown if you need it, I missed the first one because I was on easy and he doesn't spawn there on easy HOWEVER I did get the one on pokitaru in the pumping station. Go turn off the water, trespasser the door, but instead of killing the fish, go turn the water back on, swim to the start, jump in the water to lure him close, then disco ball him. I also did groovitron the green tentacles on kerwan, not sure if needed but I did anyway, and don't forget the pokitaru waterfall birds.
My copy of the game when that fish in Pokitaru is back in water, something kills him as there are bolts... So it's probably a good idea to get it on Rilgar. I can't fight that one apparently. It's on the groudn sure, but going back to fill the water... something kills it
just did this on my 7th run yep 7th pissed me of way to much but finally did it I can say my enemies did not transfer over as I got to the last boss and it popped follow this video and get the birds at the top of the waterfall and it should pop
Note 1: You CAN get this trophy in 2 Playthroughs. However, you can only get it if your first play through was regular mode and your second was challenge mode. Every other challenge mode after your first challenge mode is NO GOOD. So if you want to play the game with all your upgraded weapons after beating challenge mode already, then you HAVE to get all the enemies to dance in 1 play through. Note 2: The purple bird on Pokitaru is NOT in this guide and you DO need it. It is located at the top of the waterfall. Hope this helps!

It's weird how this happens to some but not to others. I had already hit Dr Nefarious on my second playthrough but did not get the trophy on my third playthrough until I hit him again.
I figured out which ones I was missing so I did them and it still won't pop. I swear I've done all 48 in this vid so now I'm getting really fucking pissed off. I guess I'm just gonna have to start another playthrough from scratch when I was hoping to be done with it tonight. Son of a bitch -_-
Recently completed this trophy. #4 - Veldin: Small Blarg Shooter - 0:47 is not required #21 - Rilgar: Pool Shark (On Floor / Not Swimming) - 5:44 - You only need to do one or the other and it will count. I only did it while it was swimming .
I don't know how many of these I have missed so I will do it in another playthrough , but does it count like doing jt all but in different playthroughs ?

Easy to miss enemies! Pool Shark (swimming and suffering ones) Green Tentacle Monster arms on the train ride. Groovitron all TANK battles just in case. All the BOSSES also Dance to it. Other than that most enemies are repetitive.
Console Gamer For one of the gold bolts on Pokitaru you have to go to the top of a waterfall. During the journey there you'll encounter purple flying dinosaurs (not sure if that's their official name) and I believe they count as separate enemies to the ones on Gaspar

CHEMiC P I think it does disable the trophy with I infinite ammo. I know you won't gain experience for the guns with that cheat activated.

i would recommend to max out the groovirton to lvl 10 and start challenge mode with only groovitron with no other weapons except for the bosses

To all concerned about the fish in the water, I tested it myself (by accident) you do not need to Groovitron the swimming fish, just the fish on land.

Hi, i know it has been 8 months but do you know, if need to let them dance or can I defeat the enemies while they are dancing?

+biggsasha But it does dance. You can see it doing some flips that it doesn't normally do. Has some new animations while Groovitron is active.
+PowerPyx Two things: One, the fish does that without the Groovitron, and two, I deliberatley skipped the swimming fish... still got the trophy sooooooooo.... Ya...................................................................

I love how the last loser named ᕦ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ᕤ, had this to say: "There's no point debating it. The fish dances. Your opinion means fuck all", and then deleted it because 1) it's not opinion, it's fact and 2) the fish did that twirling thing in the water more often without the groovitrron than with it. There's no point in arguing with me, and I WILL be making a video to prove this...
Ok just popped this trophy and I can confirm whoever you got your first playthrough with the groovitron still counts on the second but how I did it was enable the cheat for unlimited ammo on your challenge mode playthrough if you have all gold bolts or however many you need for the cheat and then every encounter on every planet throw at least one or two or more to make each enemy dance at least once and then just kill them and move on if you have unlimited ammo and invincibility on it'll go by so quick hope this helps anyone.

@@pizamogaming3538 I believe that when the disco ball makes the enemy dance, it already counts to the progress. So yeah, you can kill them while they are dancing.

Okay, I think I've worked it out. It looks like your progress from your first save will transfer over into challenge mode. But the record is wiped clean in any subsequent challenge mode runs.
I can't prove it without further testing, but I believe this is the way it works.
+Commercialmaaan ill test this out for you, just started a new challenge run, ill ignore an enemy that i know ive made dance before (The litte red robot with blades since i know they always respawn) and see if the trophy unlocks. I just started a new challenge run so probably finish tomorrow or the 6th
ok ive finished and I can confirm that every time you start a NEW challenge run, the progress for death by disco resets.
also apparently the game takes about 3 hours to beat if u skip cutscenes and a few optional missions.

the infinite ammo and invincibility cheats make this a lot easier. i just spammed the groovitron on my 3rd challenge mode playthrough and got it in one day in two sittings. about 3-4 hours maybe.
and i now know for a fact that enemies don't carry over from challenge mode playthroughs because i got the trophy the moment i used it on dr. nefarious and i specifically remember using it on him on my previous playthrough.
but yeah, bottom line: get the golden bolts, get infinite ammo, spam the hell out of the groovitron. my game crashed for the first time when i was jetpacking around gaspar and throwing one at every group of enemies i saw but i finally have the platinum and it was so worth it.

I think enemies most likely to miss are the glow blobs in Veldin, the birds and the pool sharks. The glow blobs and pool sharks are annoying as not many places they appear.

Cant be in one playthrough. At first i wasnt looking forward to grinding out many playthroughs as other ppl seem to be doing but i got it first attempt by the time i reached quartu
YIINOX not sure i just played on medium with invincibility and unlimited ammo cheats
so I got every enemy in the game and finished with doctor nefarious then I finally found and killed the purple birds and still nothing!

Lmao this alone should be the platinum trophy, all of the other trophies are sooo easy to get bu than there’s this one. Had the game since it came out I now have been attempting this trophy on ps5. Been putting in hours. Following this guide I’m praying to god it works
This is genuinely the stupidest trophy I’ve ever had to get in a game. There is nothing rewarding about this. It just waters down the entire game and removes any fun from subsequent playthroughs.

Same here I'm so confused wheres my fkn Bronze. To get the Plat.
Just got mine. Started a new game, got the groove, and tossed it at everything since it was available. Then on challenge mode I threw it at the red robots that spin w blades and the flying dinos there and got it. So I do not believe you need to hit them all in the challenge mode, only the ones you missed. Lame ass trophy nonetheless but the platinum is mine!
I freaking did it on my first try! Thank you so much, was nervous as hell while reading the comments.
Few tips:
1) Do exactly what he does in the video.
2) No matter what, try to spam the groove bomb as much as you can. I used it almost on all the enemies.
3) Dont forget to get the creature's on top of the waterfall on Pokitaru.
4) You dont have to wait for them to die or anything. Just throw the bomb wait for a second and kill them, it will count.

Do the enemies that you make dance in Playthrough 1 carry over to Challenge mode and onwards into further Challenge mode playthroughs, or do you have to start again from scratch?
Does this have to be done in one playthrough? Because I've done all of these but they're across different playthroughs
The counter only is carrying from the first run to the first hardmode run then youll have to do them all in one run

Can confirm you absolutely have to do a full 3rd run if you miss out on those two tentacles on the train. Third completion wasn't too bad speedrunning the game with infinite ammo :)

I did get this trophy finally on my 3rd play, i did everything like on this video, except that fish in the sewers while she swim, i did it only when she was on the ground, also i did that purple bird on pokitaru where you have to find way to the top of waterfall. very annoying trophy. cheers guys.

For anyone doing this in 2021, just Groovitron everything, EVERYTHING! And you have to do it in a single playthrough, it doesn't carry across saves.

@@hosziak i did not use it. I had the groovitron upgraded so I could carry the max amount. Keep a look out for ammo crates near by

By using this guide, I can confirm that I did get the trophy after 3 runs of the game. I also got the purple birds on top of the waterfall on Pokitaru. I can also confirm that progress does not carry over for the separate challenge runs (at least not for me). I still had to get everyone on this list, including the purple birds, in order to get this trophy. I got the trophy when I made Nefarious dance at the end. I finally added another platinum to my collection, and yes I did follow the guide. I got everyone and got the trophy. Thanks PowerPyx
I just finished the game for a second time i followed the video and i did the birds on the top of the waterfall but I DIDN'T GET THE TROPHY......
Aside from those birds on the top of the Waterfall, I figured out there are still #12 : Green Tentacles on the Train mission from Kerwan. Since this is only appeared in this mission, you're very much likely to miss it, so please pay attention.

works January 2022!! Got platinum after playing 3 times.
1st time: story, enjoying game
2nd time: simple trophies and improving at game
3rd time: long trophies (death by disco, trespassers I missed, unlock every upgrade, level every weapon etc)
Well that video showed me that I would have to do a fourth playthrough to get platinum just because of that tentacle thingy on the train. Fuck that aint doing it...

I was doing Challenge mode, and so I was using Groovitron everywhere. Thought I missed the Green Tentacle on Kerwan Train, but after dancing with Nefarious I got it.... huge relief..

I just got the trophy so let me clarify some things. The swimming fish is still unknown if you need it, I missed the first one because I was on easy and he doesn't spawn there on easy HOWEVER I did get the one on pokitaru in the pumping station. Go turn off the water, trespasser the door, but instead of killing the fish, go turn the water back on, swim to the start, jump in the water to lure him close, then disco ball him. I also did groovitron the green tentacles on kerwan, not sure if needed but I did anyway, and don't forget the pokitaru waterfall birds.
My copy of the game when that fish in Pokitaru is back in water, something kills him as there are bolts... So it's probably a good idea to get it on Rilgar. I can't fight that one apparently. It's on the groudn sure, but going back to fill the water... something kills it
just did this on my 7th run yep 7th pissed me of way to much but finally did it I can say my enemies did not transfer over as I got to the last boss and it popped follow this video and get the birds at the top of the waterfall and it should pop
Note 1: You CAN get this trophy in 2 Playthroughs. However, you can only get it if your first play through was regular mode and your second was challenge mode. Every other challenge mode after your first challenge mode is NO GOOD. So if you want to play the game with all your upgraded weapons after beating challenge mode already, then you HAVE to get all the enemies to dance in 1 play through.
Note 2: The purple bird on Pokitaru is NOT in this guide and you DO need it. It is located at the top of the waterfall. Hope this helps!
Fuck this trophy. You should've added a little comment on the Deplanetizer about Ratchet himself to take extra caution. I ain't this doing this again. I'm happy with my 97%.

It's weird how this happens to some but not to others. I had already hit Dr Nefarious on my second playthrough but did not get the trophy on my third playthrough until I hit him again.
I figured out which ones I was missing so I did them and it still won't pop. I swear I've done all 48 in this vid so now I'm getting really fucking pissed off. I guess I'm just gonna have to start another playthrough from scratch when I was hoping to be done with it tonight. Son of a bitch -_-

Console Gamer For one of the gold bolts on Pokitaru you have to go to the top of a waterfall. During the journey there you'll encounter purple flying dinosaurs (not sure if that's their official name) and I believe they count as separate enemies to the ones on Gaspar
why didn't they make a list on who you made dance for this thropy ingame somewhere? would be smart...
uh-huh I did the fishes not swimming and swimming in rilgar and still didn't do it... dammit... I thought that was it x.x
