- Today I will be touring a BRAND NEW modular home that is loaded with features but on the smaller end! Stayed tuned I toured several brand new prefab home models and they will all be coming very soon! This prefab house also has several different options and is built as a modular home! The manufacturer for this house is Champion Modular. The model for this home is the “Merlot" This home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and has roughly 1,400(main level) square foot. Let me know what you think about the video! We have seen the mobile home business come such a long way. In the old days most people referred to mobile homes as a trailer house. However some of the manufactured homes we carry are far from “trailer houses.”

A walk in pantry is a dream. Someone that lives thirty miles from nowhere a pantry is nice.
You had me at the pantry. What a kitchen I am sold.
You better have a lot of money to fill that pantry! My favorite kitchen and pantry is in the two story home with the unfinished upstairs and three bedrooms on the main. The kitchen is to die for, with cabinets up the ying yang! I have so much kitchen stuff, I could fill all of the cabinets and most of the drawers. Look that one up, and you'll see what I mean. I love the patio off the kitchen, and I love the laundry room too! 😊
I feel the same way except for the bathroom sinks! they remind me of RV bathroom sinks.
They should do a study on how to make a modular that doesn't look like a mobile home

This is all anyone needs , if your a empty nester or a tiny family, or just by yourself! This is beautiful! I wish I could live in this!
I absolutely love the front especially the stone and the steps, the railing and door but wish it had a little overhang guarding the entrance from the weather.
I wish they would put a small bathroom space in the laundry room.That would be particularly important with having kids and working out in the yard to come in and get cleaned up without using bigger bathroom

Man, Chance!! This house 🏠🏡 is completely stunning!! The size is just right!! The Rooms are open and spacious!! The Kitchen is just beautiful, love the wood cabinets. Love the bedrooms and bathrooms!! The Laundry Room is like a separate room from the others. Just a gorgeous well built not so little home 🏠🏡!! The Exterior is also very nice and sturdy!! If you liked this one, you should take a look at the "Attain" by Titan Homes. It's slightly bigger than this one but I think the space is utilized better. It's also 30'x48' and the extra width really makes it feel a lot larger. It's also cheaper. I'm kind of surprised that Chance hasn't toured it yet. The only reason I'm saying this is that I just bought one and it's due to be delivered on the 29th. I can't wait.😊

@@janetmarshall7171 Actually, it's a replacement. My stick built ranch burned in April and it took so long for insurance and everything else to get settled. Then I had to deal with the fact that I didn't legally have enough land to rebuild but was grandfathered in for only one year after the date of the fire. I needed a house put on the land as fast as possible and this or a trailer were pretty much the only options. Otherwise I would be stuck with an pretty much useless piece of land that nobody would want to buy, at least not for anywhere near what it should be worth.
You don't have to make up things to get attention!! It's not 🚫🚫 worth the aggravation!! Just be yourself and don't try to hard to please someone!! Just remember, Don't do this again!! I have no time or patience for nonsense!! Have a good night 🌃🌉!!

Totally my favorite of all the homes you've shown us! The kitchen is gorgeous and laid out so well. The only thing I'd change: take out the window seat - make the coffee bar longer. It has a coat closet!! A walk in pantry!! Option of a basement - Alright!!
Perfect for a small family. That back area has the perfect design for young students . Excellent use of space in this home.

This is my favorite after looking at months of your videos. I love the kitchen colors. The utility room is laid out nicely for letting dogs in and out, in and out, in and out... LOL... And you can stop them there with a door (or gate in doorway) so they don't go running thru the house with muddy paws or whatnot. That pantry was the greatest! The whole lay out of the house strikes my fancy. The sacrifice is the smaller closet in the master, but I can deal with it.
If the buyer didn't put a basement in the home then all that nice space makes a great extra clothes or storage closet!

I would love to do your job! I love touring homes and looking at floor pleans. My only problem is I can't stand up more than a few minutes without horrible back pain, so I guess I have to leave it to you 😁 Seeing that floor plan, I already love this house. Perfect for me. Now an ugh - barn doors in the bedroom. Everything else looked so good until I saw them. The kitchen could use a few more drawers too. That office/computer/sewing space is terrific. I give the architects that adds those in kudos as that is how our world is changing. I love this house. I would buy it if I could.

This is stunning! Out of all the houses I’ve seen on your channel this is my fav! Perfect size and no wasted space! Easier to heat and cool! 🎉
I never comment, and normally the bigger homes are my favorites! But I’m loving this home!!! I love how spacious they made 1400 sq foot appear, but my favorite part is definitely the kitchen! I love the 2 different color cabinets, how the bar is black on one side and lighter wood on the other, how all the space was used, and of course, the WIP! I wasn’t expecting that, either. It’s a perfect size for me, though. As far as changes for myself, I think the only things I’d do differently is get rid of the carpet in the living room & bedrooms and put down the same flooring as the kitchen. Then I’d ask if I could raise the roof a little to have tray ceilings in all the rooms.
I’m gonna have to do a little research to find out if they deliver to Mississippi, or if Champion has a place closer to Mississippi. Thanks for showing us all these homes!!
I've been watching you for a while now and I have seen hundreds of homes and I have to say that this home is my absolute favorite home of all!! Almost everything was perfect for me! The only thing I would change is the dual sinks in the master bath. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this home!!!
I would also add windows in the baths and a regular door at the primary bath instead of the barn door.
@@-OBELUS-The barn door is a must! They slide open and out of the way unlike a swinging door. They'll slide right behind your furniture!
I'm right there with you - been watching Chance for 4 years - this is my favorite home as well. It's the first time ever that I've seen the cabinets match the flooring - expertly done! I would keep the double sinks in the master for resell value!

Have you ever seen a prefab home that was made for someone in a wheelchair, like roll under sinks and lower counters and cabinets? Maybe, even a roll-in shower. Having an ADA home would be a dream for so many people. Just wondering if you've seen options like that during your home tours.

Nice!! Love this single wide. It's fabulous. I would definitely put cabinets over the washer/ dryer. So glad it had a pantry. Love the double closets in the main bedroom. You really don't need two sinks in the main bathroom I would remove the second sink and cabinet put the toilet there and make the shower extended for the toilet is. It feels closed down the way it's designed. Opening it up would make it easier for a disabled person like me. Kitchen has a lot of cabinets, I like that. Thanks Chance. I'm sure it's optional to put those really nice closet racks. One of the best layouts.
There's lots of homes being built near me in Lancaster County PA that has the white siding, most horizontal but some vertical siding with the black windows. Thank you for showing this one, Chance!!💗

I've said it before, the wire shelves will bow/bend with little to no weight. The rest of the home is really nice.
Y wire shelves are great with weight so I am guessing they come in different quality.
I get what you’re saying however I’ve had wood pantry shelves bow way worse than metal and at least the wire racks are easy and cheap to replace 🤷🏻♀️ My ghetto rig solution - I use 1/2” thick plastic cutting boards (ikea, $2 lol) to line my wire shelves where I put glass bottles (so they don’t accidentally fall over) and anywhere heavy items are stacked - done this weight distribution method for the past 4yrs on really low quality wire racks and zero noticeable bowing 👍 tbt I do worry they will randomly collapse off the wall someday though 😂

Chance, I have watched so many of your videos but couldn’t find “the one” until now. I absolutely love this home. I wouldn’t make any changes at all. I love the “hidden pantry.” My only problem is my property is in Alaska. I have no idea if this house could be transported and setup in Alaska. I wish that I could find this house available in Alaska. Do you ever film mobile, modular, prefab homes in Alaska?

Hey Chance! First of all, Merlot is pronounced “mur-LOW”. Ok, after saying that, I absolutely LOVE the layout of this home! Is this not a perfect house for retired Grandparents? The two guest rooms would get used frequently with sleepovers 😉! I love the fact that the majority of the space has been allocated to the public spaces, including that great kitchen… that makes sense to us, because that’s where we spend our time and entertain. Of course I have some aesthetic things I would like to change, and I would add a garage onto the left side of the home (from the perspective of facing the home), with the entrance coming in the laundry room as per the plan. That would really future proof the house for us by keeping our vehicle indoors and also a garage would grant some storage space.
I love this house! It has a perfect layout and lots of storage.
The only thing I didn't care for was the flooring. Otherwise, this is a great home!

This house is really nice. I think my favorite area is the Kitchen and that walk-in pantry is “on fleek”, (French meaning: “perfectly executed, flawless, exactly right, and nice”.). (Love it!)!!!!! ❤❤❤❤

Merlot (mur-low) is a black grape originally from the Bordeaux (bur-dough) region of France. I suppose they named it Merlot due to all the black trim. 🤣 I like this house. It's just the right size for me. I would make a couple of changes. I would delete the "coffee" bar and bench and replace it with a door(s) to the outside. I would have a carport on the rear of the house from the utility corner to the dining room. This way, I could have gatherings of friends and families there with easy access to the kitchen. I wouldn't have a basement so the stair area might be difficult to find a use for. It could be storage or, if I removed the coat closet (and use one of the spare bedrooms closets instead) it could be a small office and add a large linen closet where the desk is in the hall. Very nice house. Thanks for the tour.
Wow. Love this. It's amazing. I love all of the offsets, the window seat-nook area, the gust bedroom hallway, kitchen and the bathrooms. I would only change the cabinet colors to white and black..but that's my preference. I would take it just as it is. And, it's pronounced Mer-low. 🤣😂🤣 God Bless You and Your's Chance. Great job.😊

I've watched since you began touring. By far, this is the very best of all, my humble opinion. If I had a lot big enough to set it, I would tear my 900 sq ft home down and buy this. I have to go outside to get into my basement.Thank you chance, may be the Lord will bless me with this Merlot
Beautiful floor plan. Just no room in the laundry room for an upright freezer 😔
I don’t know anything about requirements for standup freezers (voltage/size/ventilation?) and obviously know nothing about what you own - but what about putting a freezer in the back of the pantry? Considering the appliances are on the other side of the wall I would assume hookups wouldn’t be “too” difficult? Or maybe by the window in the front hall closet (optional basement stairs) .. or you could remove a set of cabinets like the ones to the left of the mud bench and have your freezer in the corner of the kitchen.. Like I said I don’t know about size/setup requirements but the huge closets and expansive kitchen cabinets give a lot of alternative locations for a freezer outside of the laundry room 👍
Build a garage
like the front porch a lot but living in a rainy area, needs a roof over it. Pantry is to die for, but don't like those pantry doors. Love the kitchen too, and it having a lot of outlets, with slow cookers, George Foremans, coffee pots, air fryers, toasters need lots of outlets. With no intentions of ever having a basement, love that extra storage closet, all the boxes of holiday decorations would fit perfectly. I certainly would do different colored cabinets and shower tile, I don't like dark. Very nice home, I could do with a 2 bedroom version at about 1200 sq ft. I do love that it has a lot of wall space for art work.

This is the first time I could see myself in one of your homes. The only thing I didn’t like was that the heat vents are in the floor. Great size house!

My cats would love that window seat but I’m with you - I’d swap the window and mud bench for a glass door like they have in the utility room. It’s the only spot in the whole house that feels like wasted space, everything else is 👏
A really great/surprising layout. It's great for empty nesters and next generation too. The primary bathroom's shower is amazing with the dark tile
My wife and I are currently looking for something like this! We recently acquired 15.5 acres of Shawnee Forest in Southern Illinois and currently live 3 miles from our new property. We have a drill rig coming in any day now for our water and plan to be “off the grid” as much as possible. Out youngest child is 18 and oldest 20 currently in college and planning on moving to a university in 1 yr. We will be empty nesters in the next 24 months so this will be perfect for us. Our decision for modular was made after getting a $200k estimate for a 1,200sq ft pole barn home. Thanks for showing us some amazing homes and giving us ideas!
I really like the kitchen! The design and the colors. The pantry is awesome!
It needs more windows, but I really love the one in the master bedroom. No tub in the main bathroom is a huge plus for me.

@@robincridelich5179 I agree on getting rid of the carpet. I don't have a shower right now, and I go down to the community pool/jacuzzi a few times a week because I just love being in the water, but I get someone not needing one, but man... looking at used houses with no big tub makes me sad!

Really loving the black on black options here. And im used to living in a 25 ft motor home. This is the perfect size for me and the wife, with room for guests and grandkids.
I love this one a lot!! I think the only thing I'd change is moving the microwave since i don't like the microwave above the cooktop like that. I would also be bummed to not have a bathtub in the master bathroom, but honestly, there's a LOT to love on this one!
I'd put the washer and dryer closer to the bedrooms. I'd also go with one color of cabinets in the kitchen not multiple colors.

This is one of my very favourites,. The only things I would change is putting a cabinet or shelves above the sink, and washer and dryer in the utility room, and getting rid of that horrible barn door and putting in either a real pocket door, or a regular door.
Not sure you want to get rid of the barn door. Doesn't look like there is room for a regular door andd I have pocket doors. They keep falling off their tracks. Keep the barn doors is my suggestion.
I love the barn door. 😉 I just wonder if it’s a pinching hazard for children or those with impaired mobility.
The hardware on pocket doors I’ve seen is cheap looking, even though our pocket doors didn’t have any sliding or stability problems. My dad was “stuck” in his bathroom because he could no longer maneuver the tiny space of the hardware on his pocket door. He’d locked it so Mom couldn’t open it from the other side; they had to call 911 for help. By then Dad had fallen. So I’ll never have a pocket door again!
Agreed the band doors are a fad that's OVER. Hate them.
