Fun fact, tearing down the bird statues, you're told the birds all have their syrinx, the organ responsible for birds singing, removed. That's why they've got Beicoli to sing for them.

This scene took me off guard as I was thinking there would be a way throughout the game to make her come back to the village. Maybe as the last one of the Wastelanders to add the nice vocals atop the other instruments.

Laika has a simple Rule. Don't mess with Puppy. Beicoli got Puppy kidnapped. There was no way Laika was going to let that slide.
@RawrDragon Beicoli kidnapped puppy and sold her off. That's worse than just getting her kidnapped, and it was clear from the start she did something super huge to piss off the wastelanders. It's the reason they all left Where We Live, every time you buy a cassette tape it alks about how she's an awful person but her music is outstanding, and the dude who gives you Jakobs music collection even flat out says "she's the worst but her music is fucking brilliant"
It was stated by the polar bear dude that beicoli was a traitor to the village. And when I saw how Laika dealt with the bulldog, I knew damn well what was gonna happen with her when she popped up.

How funny is it that the person in charge doing the music for their games is actually a huge villain in this one

When I got to this scene in the game, I accidentally tapped my left mouse button the instant she started singing.
Missed out on this entire scene but I ended up laughing my butt off because I did *not* expect Laika to shoot her.
Me too, but it wasn't really by accident. I noticed her gun, remembered the scene in which we kill Herman and had to press the button to actually shoot him, and tried it with Beícoli. Not disapointed
I know this is a tense moment but I find so funny they created a fursona for the singer of the game ost just so they could kill her lmao

I know that's Laika's default look for everything almost, but I was standing still looking at her, especially how deadlocked she was looking at Beicoli. Seriously, she has a reputation of Grim Biker all over the wasteland, and you took her kid. Messing with her is like messing with John Wick. You're not asking for a death wish, you're begging for one.
The sad part is, she took Puppy so she could live in the flying city and live a safer life. Only issue is, the birds in power wanted EVERY land creature dead. Just like the shit head pug, she thought she was saving herself.
Never really thought of it that way, I guess she was just paying for nothing
This whole questline was a ride.
The sad thing about beicoli is that she betrayed her Village her band her friends so that she could find a safer life with the birds only to be sad at an empty diner with hardly any audience except the bartender mistreated for being a non bird and being killed off without any glamour or a chance to redeem herself
I like to think that Beicoli knew it was Laika, saw the gun, knew she knew she was going to die. As the Joker said, "in their last moments, people show you who they really are", and she stood on that stage and gave the performance of a lifetime.
Actually, if we would hear songs quite attentively, we could hear a lot of her inner thoughts and feelings about herself, her past, her dreams.
I know, many ppl hate Beicoli for what she had done to Puppy, but if we just look at what state she is, when we find her in the bar.... this is just miserable. And fucking sad. She is just another victim of the circumstances, who lost her ways in the dark , wondering, trying to find something left in her, only one thing knowing for sure, that she is not a hero. She is not.
I'm glad to assure you she's actually a fan favorite. Mostly she's a self insert for the real Beícoli
I agree most if not everyone in this world is a victim of circumstance and everyone is just trying to survive with what little they have in this cruel world.

Like many of the inhabitants of this world, these are broken and crippled souls. It’s all the more interesting to replay the game and read the feelings of other players.
You have to admit, it’s extremely rare to come across a work where you can empathize with almost any asshole. )

Can someone tell me more about this character, I missed a lot of context due to the fact that they were only mentions until I saw who he was.
She's a bird sympathizer and gave away Puppy
She's also based on one of the creators of the game, Beicoli, who does all the music for this game and many of the other games made by the same team.
She also used to be part of the Wastelanders, the band that forms at Where We Live over the course of the game. They were already a group before the events of the story, but from what I gather they broke up because all the other players ended up hating Beicoli's guts for some reason. As you meet them across the wastes and do their sidequests, you can start putting the band back together again once you let them know that Beicoli left the village for good a while ago.
@@rando5638 Beícoli used to be a backup singer until she became the lead vocalist after the shrew girl lost her voice. Their band became a hit and this inflated Beícoli's ego to a point she thought she was better off solo. She thought she was Brendon Urie but became Lou Gramm
We should really get a prompt to click, I was sitting there for half of the song waiting for Laika to shoot until I gave up and try to skip it by clicking.
I believe they want you to listen to the song. Laika automatically shoots once Beicoli is done singing. Being able to interrupt feels more of a secret. Like you're suppose to feel Laika's anger / frustration and don't want to listen to her sing after what she did conveyed through you wanting to skip the scene.

It really is a shame that this questline was super short, it should have been a level and this scene should have been the conclusion. Also we should of had a least a couple of scenes with Beicolli, she is super talented and to only have this scene is a crime

I had a strong need to time it dramatically so I ended up waiting it out. It's a good song, too.
This moment could have been very more "heart breaking" if I knew who she was, you get to know who she is at the very beggining of the game, by the time you meet her the odds are you only know who she is because of her name is on the mixtapes you listen to.
Did you read any of the dialogue? It was... pretty clear.
