Forever Summer? That is a common impression among those who do not know the geography and weather of Iran and assume that a country in the Middle East must be HOT, DRY and DESERT!!! No indeed, Iran is among the very few countries that have 4 seasons in many large cities; although the summer is generally hot but it is not more than 3 months and then many cities in Iran have a beautiful fall followed by cold winter in northern part and warm in the south. Remember Iran is 16 times larger than South Korea and has many zones with different climate. I have visited many cities around the world and in many of those cities they do have a frigid cold winter and hot, muggy weather in summer, e.g. Boston in the USA. But in Iran those cities with scorching hot summer (e.g. Bandar-Abbas or Bushehr) have very pleasant winter or those with frigid winter (e.g. Shahr-e-Kord, Brojen) have very mild summer. Tehran has exactly 4 season, now due to the large number of cars and air conditioned houses the weather in summer is hotter than it used to be by 3-5 degrees Celsius but I suppose that is the case all over the world due to climate change. Tehran has a very gorgeous, colorful fall and it gets snow specially in northern part which is 500-1000 meters higher than the southern part of the city. Tehran has a view of the Damavand Mountain with all around the year (permanent) snow peak. It is an amazing city, however I believe for such a large country like Iran it is regretfully overcrowded. For some reason many like to live there, whereas there are plenty of space around the country with spectacular views and nature.
