Who told you RE must be "Retire Early" siah. Now more are taking a holistic view to change it to "Recreational Employment" aka work in anything they enjoy / like with the freedom to come and go from their work anytime. And FIRE isn't just about drawing down capital to "survive". Many who FIREd will have a portfolio that generates dividend to support their lifestyle. The drawing down part usually happens at much later life stages (i.e. 60s) when there's no point to maintain their massive capital unless for legacy planning reason. TBH bro, when it comes to such videos you made, I notice you really do sound quite salty and like to use the term "show off" on such folks who have FIREd. You might want to reflect a little on your mentality and life lah.

Great video! I also not wish to retire early but also keep stacking (saving) some money away.

Even if u r able to retire early i would advise to retire late as working keeps your mind active. Also u get to enjoy making more cpf and keep engaged with society

@jasxteo correct and if u work towards financial independence, that will pay for the occasional vacations 😊

I have a table lamp i turn it on for night light and i've been using it daily for almost 3 years. And recently i went on overseas holiday for 2 weeks, so my lamp rested at home and guess what, when i came back yesterday, the lamp stopped working completely. You guess what is the analogy to the FIRE moment?

Same research has also shown to those who retire early also tend to…. Die earlier.
But I didn’t want to be too morbid in this video. lol.😂
Already losing subscribers because many don’t like reality.. but heh facts are facts.

That I am aware of hence I am doing the financial independence part. Retirement is just so sad and many love to push it.

@ if i tell u that person is going to die next week or next month will he work? That is why always retire early while u can u never know the next day might get some illness and 3 months later died. By then regret also too late.

My dad died before he could use his cpf.
My close uncle also died before he could use his too.
So…… again we can agree to disagree I guess.
But I do agree with you, we have no idea when we will die.
