IIRC, the thing with Mankar is he used Mehrunes Razor to not only change his race (he was seemingly a Bosmer prior, given the Camorans are Bosmer), but also to potentially make himself able to wear the Amulet
Maybe not common knowledge but with fists or weapon out, or holding shield up, blocking and pressing spacebar is yield and friendly fired NPC, the NPC will forgive you if their disposition is high enough; bandits will comment about you being a coward.
Well hello TH-cam recommend actually doing a good job for once. Happy to see you! This will be a fun ride, oblivion is definitely my comfort game, despite its age and… many flaws Heh.
"Sorry count, I guess your son didn't appreciate his impromptu electroshock therapy session despite him diving in front of my spells and deciding to attack me instead of the demons next to him. Oh well, his loss." You might have been able to 'surrender' to him and get him to deaggro if you put your weapons away and try talking to him while blocking, but I'm not sure if that's a really reliable function in Oblivion Personally I think Mankar Camoran is just huffing copium with his mad theories about Tamriel actually being a plane of oblivion, with Mehrunes Dagon just being an opportunistic punk trying to sneak in to Tamriel with his mad cultists Mankar being able to use the amulet of kings-I think he explains it/it was explained as him using Mehrunes Dagon's power in 'paradise' to be able to break that rule and wear it anyways...or the game devs forgot about it and just wanted him to look cool with the amulet on his neck since they gave his robe a...I think at least semi unique property of being able to display the amulet above the robes despite normally any necklaces being hidden by armor/robes
If memory serves, there's a small chance a humanoid will cease combat and accept surrender in Oblivion. But there's no surrender in Lightningese :( I'll be sure to keep an eye out for that detail during the Let's Play! Would be wild af if Mankar was actually a Dragonborn though.
I think Mankar can change himself from the knowledge of the Mysterium Xarxes, as his father and mother are both Bosmer, but Mankar is an Altmer, so he can probably make himself DB too. Also, while I don't think it's what happened, if what Dagon said was true, it's kind of like worshipping your creator, like how Lorkhan is a bad guy for tricking the Aedra, but if he didn't, Mundus and everyone living in it wouldn't have existed
i know im late to your run, but you can go to the ayleid ruins and pick up welkynd stones and use them for magicka emergencies. Also to add to that, some of the ruins hold Varla stones. Those can be used to fully charge enchanted items. Hope it helps in the future! 😌
Varla Stones are great for going towards those Magetallow Candles too. I grabbed the one you can get in Vilverin while I was there, helped quite a bit :D
I plan on doing the LP as my first ever character, but with me being better & more knowledgeable with the game since then. Haven't done the DLCs since they were new so I probably will run those as well :D
@@MidlothianOdyssey cool I was curious as most of the time when I see a play through of a game it’s basically nothing more than just the main story which is both boring and annoying because you never see any of the interesting or unique things about the game that way.
Put on the glitched breeches and clogs. Become the glitchlord todd howard envisioned.
He would be proud

Really good low magika cost spell is drain health 100 for 1 second, at low levels will kill most things outright.
Stop! You violated the law. Pay the channel a like or serve your sentence. Your stolen goods are now forfeit!
"That's too bad. I was hoping you'd submit your browser history."
*me wearing the gray cowl* fucking shit.
Yaaaaaay :D I used to play this game a lot as a youngster
Good video, you slaughtered their names…but you still did a good job. Gave you a sub!!!🤘
I appreciate it!
Another racial bonus of the dark elf is that you can call other dark elves 'dumner' and 'dumna' without getting cancelled

@@MidlothianOdyssey whaaat? No way I didn’t know those could be used for that!?!
Merchants who accept miscellaneous items will buy them for quite a bit with a high enough disposition :)
I fw the channel, i was planning on doing an oblivion video soon
Awesome, they're very fun to make :)
With the oblivion play through are you going to only do the main story are you going to do the guild quests and dlc as well?
