In the original release of the game you weren't able to send in any of your companions, not even ones immune to radiation like Fawkes. Bethesda did patch in the option due to player feedback, understandably since Fawkes's whole plot point in Vault 87 is that he's immune to radiation to the point where he chastises you if you go to get the GECK instead of him. Any companion who is vulnerable to radiation, like Butch or Jericho, still will not enter though. You can also send in Charon or Sergeant RL-3 if you want to bring one of them with you instead of Fawkes :)

@@MidlothianOdyssey ok, that makes sense, thank you I played vanilla version on steam with no DLCs, so looks like I need to purchase the superior version and give it a shot Imo Charon is the superior companion within the fo3 interaction limitations. I had him follow me on all my adventures as a man servant, inspired by Daring’s legacy By the way, great content dude! You definitely found your niche

@@MidlothianOdyssey It’s fascinating how great fo3 RP experience can be despite its flaws I spent close to 50 hours traveling with Charon, and when I finally embraced the Brotherhood for the finale, I loaded him with the best armour and guns that I had, along with as much goods and ammo he could carry (sprinkled with a generous amount of caps for his loyal service) before sending him to the Underworld So the question is, can you beat fallout as Herbert Dashwood?🤔

I agree, the Capital Wasteland is always so much fun to travel through & explore. Taking a look at Dashwood's inventory, I think that's entirely possible! SPECIAL's similar to Grandma Sparkle, and Sneak as a tagged skill is sweet :)

Yeah it was an easy run, more than I thought it'd be since I figured having 0 DT would've made Hoover Dam pretty rough with the centurion anti-mat rifles. Pretty fun though! Next time I have a character using the hunting rifle I'm gonna bump up the difficulty.

He's in Fallout 4? I had no idea, that's pretty cool! I'm going off of his Fallout 3 inventory. All three items (clothes, headgear, minigun) are in FNV. I have a different idea in mind for his run though, as I don't want it to be a repeat of Gary's FNV run, though there will be plenty of carnage. Should be fun though, we haven't had a big guns character on the channel yet :) Edit: I actually just found a radroach companion mod, that's gonna be hilarious to use :D

Sometime in July-August when I have TTW installed. It's gonna be the first run I do when TTW's back on the scene :)

Glad ya enjoyed it! New Vegas as the Talon Company Merc will be a bit cause we're gonna be going through some Vanilla Fallout 3 and Vanilla FNV. Since Fallout 3 Faction Warriors isn't too far off we'll see the Talon Company Merc's run through that first, but once I reinstall TTW the TCM's gonna be the first run I do. TCM armor kicks ass and their arsenal's gonna leave us with a ton of options for strategy. And I've figured out the story for our merc too! Ballpark estimate? Probably in mid-July to early August, somewhere in that area. TTW Faction Warriors S2 is gonna be real fun since we'll be running New Vegas units through the Capital Wasteland :)

Thanks can't wait to see it and a bit of advice go with a character that does a job and ask for more caps and is evil and doesn't care about human life and goes for the most profitable solution
