This was so fabulous!!! I confess I'd kind of lost any excitement about indigo dying after the confused mess I made of my first attempt. Your video has brought back my enthusiasm though! I loved seeing the difference in the dye dips by 10 min. & Love the tip on daisy chaining the gradients so you don't get them out of order (could be so useful in making a sweater or shawl!! yay!)....its such a simple idea but I don't know that I'd have Ever thought of it! Such a beautifully done video, thank you for making it, great job!
Amazing video! Informative and visually stunning. You’ve inspired me, I’m going to harvest some of the indigo I’ve been growing. I’ll over-dye some yellow wool I made with goldenrod last year. Hoping for green! 🤞🧚♀️
Interesting! It will start getting gross and growing mold on it so you may want to think about freezing it to keep it. I usually keep the mushrooms dried and then make up a pot as a go.
Sorry! I really should not respond to comments first thing in the morning. I misread this comment as being on a video for dyeing with mushrooms. Yes - you can totally do that. The vat will become inert after a couple of days so you will need to recharge it. Which means creating a new jar of indigo and then lowering it down. Sorry for any confusion!
Very nice wool colour me like wool🎉🎉🎉

Yay!!! Love to hear that you’re feeling inspired and you’re growing your own. That’s awesome!
Great video. I want to eventually make a really big Vat and keep it, so how does one keep it going for months/years?
