    It's about 4ft deep at the deepest,the owner wades out to do maintainence.The river at the back is the Medlock,I've had big trout,big chub out.(plenty of little brownies and minnows)

    • @WestysAngling
      @WestysAngling  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s interesting!! I will have to have more of a look at the river I’m taking it that it gets deeper in parts than the stream. Thanks for the info on depths I will pin this comment Stan 👌🏻👍🏻

      @@WestysAngling I use live minnows trotted down under a float,it never fails.The gateway where you turn into the road to the fishery on the right has another old disused carpark on the right.The river at the back of it has a nice long stretch of deeper water.

    Westy have recently moved back to where I grew up and I went to a local fishery I fished as a teenager. It used to was busy all year but I went for a quick few hrs 11:00-2:00
    And I was the only person on 5 ponds I only had a few rudd and perch on worms but ...
    In the summer it might be more busy. Fishing can be solitary but I enjoy being alone...

    Hahaha...the old fella in the cabin is a real character! I've been a few times and it's always been slow. Only seen one carp over 4lbs caught by anyone in all my trips. I've had some F1s and a tiny Mirror but that's it.

    ill be giving Devine fisheries in Accrington a try on Monday, they told me its a little tricky (not pulling out fish every 5 mins they said) and very deep and also if the bivvy pegs aren't in use or reserved you can use them and they have toilets, showers, WIFI and a seating area near a BBQ area and is about £10 for 2 rods and £25 for the night and has carp and silvers up to 20lbs, that's the runswater, the specimen lake has carp up to 30lbs and cats up to 75lbs and I believe you can do day sessions and 24 and 48 sessions there once I've tried it ill let you know if its worth a visit but the do have a website too, enjoying the content pal

    Your not going to cat h on method feeders if you don't cast them right, you never feather it down and when your feeder hits the water the baits coming off so the feeders not working for you , also watched a couple of your other videos and have to say not been impressed with the way that you return the fish you don't just throw them back like I've seen you doing.
