I'm SO glad to find this signature tune..it's stayed with me for 50 years! I was a 16 year old fledgling hippie and watched and liked the show, but was even more impressed by the tune
This theme tune must be embedded in my brain. I was 11 and our class used to go to the swimming baths with the school the day this was on the telly, so I associate it with the smell of chlorine in my nostrils, lol.
I was around 6 or 7 when I watched this, I don't remember much about it except that it was spooky and cool (and the sideburns, of course), but the thing that really stuck with me was the theme song. Which, I'm delighted to say, still sounds ace!
Me too, a great time for...being influenced when young, but all good....after free love, I was just too young for all that, maybe a good thing..loved the flower people though..young..
It’s aimed at older children and could be a bit scary for younger kids like me. I mainly remember the theme and the name Lulli being mentioned often. It would stand a remake but whether kids would take to it these days is debatable.
THAT remids me of puss cat willam and..Wally Whyton, HE came into my mind while in my kitchen the other night...abcde goodbye from willam and me..IS THAT on YT TOO I wonder..must look..bet it is..fghik, we`ll see you another day..THE BRAIN is an incredible thing.
There’s no way it would be made now, at least not a kids tea time show. Maybe updated and aimed at adults it might have wings. I was 8 or so and it was a bit strange for me but like everyone else I love and remember the title song.
They'd wouldn't get away with anything like this now. This was children's television when it was truly inventive and dared to be different, without being bogged down with 'issues'. A real shame that only a fraction of the episodes exist today. What a fab theme song!
About the same period as this aired there was a short run series called "Snacker" or "The Snacker", which featured a boy stowing away on a Hull trawler and the adventures he had on board. I enjoyed it even more than this but can't find hide nor hair of it. Anyone else got a clue...?
My copy is the same as the one that you'll find here on TH-cam. I restored the intro/outro by removing all the artifacts and manually repairing the ugly deinterlaced frames during the hand animation. I also replaced the original audio with a cleaner version of Andy Brown's "Tarot". I didn't repair the entire episode.

Me too!!! Just found it
Same here... I remember every note, every word..
Same here, it's embedded in my psyke, along with many other TV tunes from my childhood 😮
And here! Written by Andy Bown. Was he the same Andy Bown who was a member of “The Herd”, fronted by a young Peter Frampton?
@@irenedownie6559 Yes, and he was later a member of Judas Jump and then Status Quo!
This show could be a smash hit if remade today for a Saturday night audience. I really believe that.
don't remake, just show the original show....and find the missing seasons
Yeah, a Woke Tarot 🤮
Just show the origional series.
Agree
I used to watch this show just to listen to the brilliant theme tune.

I was aged between 9 and 11 when I used to watch that.. Great TV back then.
Watched it with you.
STILL GETS ME...wonderful series and music...thanks
Andrew Bown. Pure Genius!!!!!!!!!
Omg!!!! What a great flashback 👍👍 Thanks
I was 11 yo when this came on tv, loved it!

I was too wee to watch this at the time. Boy those titles are so psychedelic 🤗
Wasn't alive when it aired I was born in 1977 but have the series on DVD love this theme tune
Michael Mackenzie, who plays the lead role, is the father of James Mackenzie of the series Raven.
My hair's like Tarots. Live this show and all the cars and 70's fashions. The story's were great too. Loved the Beautiful People.

I’d never heard of this show! Seems very hippie friendly. And to think Brian Wilde (that’s Foggy from Last of the Summer Wine) was in it!
It’s aimed at older children and could be a bit scary for younger kids like me.
I mainly remember the theme and the name Lulli being mentioned often.
It would stand a remake but whether kids would take to it these days is debatable.
Thanks for explaining.
Nice to see Ali Bongo, the popular stage magician, is also in it.
Haven't heard this since it was on the TV! If it was 1970, then I was 5! I remembered it as "Tarot comes, Tarot the phenomenal", got that wrong 😋
help you out here it was "tarot cards, tarot the diamond man"
Fantastic, thanks a million👏🏻👏🏻
Mr Peacock was played by the same actor who was Foggy in Last of the Summer Wine.
Wouldn't it be great if any of the missing episodes were located. Series 1 and 2 lost in its entirety.
I saw all three series in New Zealand n 1975. The missing episodes will be in a cupboard there somewhere.
Ah!!!!! Found it! Remember Ozymandias, played by Fred Owl

Super Series this. Second only to Timeslip.

Tops!
Ali Bongo was the magic consultant !! ?? !!
I bought my Blendo off of him at an IBM convention many many years ago.
I had no idea.
He was on ALL magic shows and dressed up for tv..as in, is he serious??? YES, he was..ha..ali baba..
Same guy who created this series created Out starring Tom Bell.
I think this tv series was quite advance for the age it was directed at.
It was...
There’s no way it would be made now, at least not a kids tea time show. Maybe updated and aimed at adults it might have wings.
I was 8 or so and it was a bit strange for me but like everyone else I love and remember the title song.
Far out.

They dont make an like that anymore. Always thought Ace was cool.
The guy who plays Tarot is the father of the person who plays Raven.
