@@CoxysPicks I have a new set of these where the bow seems tight going through the cheek plates…the directions say to use the cheek plates of another set of cuffs to open them more…did you have to do this also? I don’t want to damage either pair
@noneofyourbusiness6809 - you used to have to do that with the old ASP. The double strands sometimes become pinched. You know if it's the double strand as it sticks in the middle of them. You don't need to apply much force to them. Just a minor tweak 👍
As a budget cuff they are actually really well made. These cuffs do rely heavily on the double lock for the security aspect. If you are an escape artist they are fantastic, as easy to pick and shim. If you are a police officer, the dual keyway will make things easier for you. Especially as you can set the double lock via the keyway. Downside to using a metal DL bar is ASP have reintroduced the kinetic attack as an escape option on this model. I like them. They are cheap but exceptionally well made. And I am struggling to find the pentagon security bit that's needed to open them. So I may need to ask ASP directly 😅 I hope that answers your question, and thanks for Watching buddy 😀 👍

They are great cuffs, and they have allowed me to shave more time off my escape. Currently able to do 1.5 seconds habitually. And every now and then sub 1 second. Should prove very useful in upcoming record attempts 👍 I know people say time heals, but I'm still waiting for him to come in from the garden. I'm an Escapologist. I share my technique and I never once encourage people to resist lawful arrest. An officer should never leave an individual unattended when they are restrained. So correct application of hardware, and suitable supervision prevent escape. I do my escapes in a pub environment whilst drinking as bar challenges. For info, these cuffs can be opened with paperclips even quicker. Stay safe and have a great start to the new year 👍🥳
