I have City Hybrid. Whatever you are saying, happened with me as well. They pushed me to get Elevate. I never thought about that. I think under 22 lakhs it is very good. There service is on time and very pertinent. They re-aligned my tires after 5000km. All-in-all, I am satisfied.
It's a great car. Took a test drive over the weekend. Love it. They should make 6 airbags standard. I don't want sunroof but for 6 airbags I have to buy a variant with sunroof
Overall its the best family car with great performance. Never experienced any issues in my Honda City. I have been using this car for long drives to Goa and Mumbai. The service is much better than any other brand and its much cheaper than a Maruti ❤
I bought 4th gen city in starting 2023, wonder full car & best ac, old school reliable fun to drive NA engine, & ergonomic wise they just nailed it, very thought full & practical, I also test drive the slavia, very good car, just dropped it because off less effective ac, even today I will buy slavia if the ac prob solved.
I can recon with all what is said about Honda in this video. Excellent purchase experience, everything he said was same for me while buying City in 2017 from Vidhata. Also Honda City is near to perfect in 12L, only -ves I have experienced is their below average infotainment system which got corrupted automatically after 5 years, poor camera quality and horn. Except this everything about Honda City shines, even they have lesser service charges than a Maruti.
@@dare-er7sw not much, its not bouncy on highways infact much stable and helps the overall experience. In city I drive slowly under 40kmph and Doesn’t much bothers in city ride as well.
@@simarpunjabi I have 2016 Honda City VX CVT. The shockers ran out of life last year. I now have ARC shock absorbers. Ground clearance is also raised by 20mm and bad roads are not felt inside. On YT look up Honda City ARC suspension. I found the OEM shock absorbers to be too stiff on bad roads and potholes.
Booked Nexon Fearless + in September. After lot of beating around the bushes, bought home the New CIty ZX MT recently for a good discount. Reason for dropping from SUVs: mom felt uncomfortable while getting inside Nexon or any other SUV.
Hi sir, I would like to share my experience wrt the video, driving pre-facelift City 5th gen VMT petrol since Sep ‘22 and 27k kms done. 1:11 Except finance manager’s rude behaviour, executives were helpful in all aspects. Our delivery experience involved one soan papdi packet, congrats bgm, photo clicks and executives clapping for a few seconds. 4:19 We didn’t receive any survey call from Honda. 6:27 Agree with Harsh on the 1st 2 negatives, in addition, less mileage (7-9) in heavy traffic with AC and ceiling rattling noise which is fixed by ASC temporarily during regular service (needs 3-4 days to be fixed permanently). 8:22 Currently driving with company fitted horn, didn’t like it since day 1, already replaced once under warranty so will change it after warranty expires.

Atkinson cycle se how does Elevate become underpowered? Ideally, Atkinson cycle Elevate could've been priced at about 50-70K premium on top of the city hybrid. But this will still be on par with the Top end GV, Hyryder, Seltos... I think the sole reason for their not bringing the hybrid to Elevate is R&D + investment + supply issues with the hybrid tech.

[27/11, 19:22] Jitendra Mishra: Subject :- Regarding my Car Vento TSI still not running. The point wise details under the above topic are as follows- 1. I have Volkswagen's Vento 1.2 TSI petrol car, which has DSG Gear box. This is a 2017 model and has covered only 26000 kms so far. 2. Was parked in the parking lot last July 2023. The entire tire was submerged in the flood water and the inside of the car was also filled with water. 3. Due to this the gear lever was not shifting from P mode. P was flashing in the dashboard. 4. The car kept drying in the sun for 15 to 20 days. 5. Even car was starting well. The original sound was coming like a new car. Engine was perfect. 6. After watching a video on TH-cam - "Factory reset DSG gear box in minutes", I did the following while standing - (a) Sitting inside the car. (b) Locked the doors. (c) Put the key in the ignition and turn it to accessory position. Waited for 15 seconds. (d) Now pressed the gas pedal and kept it pressed for 30 seconds. (e) After this, switched it off and took out the key. (f) Took the foot off the gas pedal. (g) Now waited for 3 minutes. (h) After this the car was started. 7. After doing the above steps and starting the car, a loud noise came from below. The engine sound started getting louder and the RPM also increased slightly. 8. After this another incident happened. To take the car to the Service Centre, open the cover of the gear lever, press the yellow button and put it in Neutral in the Emergency programme. 9. During this emergency program, the lever shifted to Reverse (R) due to which the whole car shocked and there was a loud rattling sound came from below. 10. In the company's Bhopal service center, the entire system below gear lever was only found to be damaged due to waterlogging, which was replaced with a brand new one. [27/11, 19:36] Jitendra Mishra: 11. Service center people said that flywheel and clutch plate will also be changed but I Refused because the car had driven only 26000 KM. The center wanted to increase the estimate. I felt that way. 12. After having cleaned the rust/dust and clean the fly wheel with chemicals, gear box fitted back. 13. Brought home 300 KM from Bhopal while driving the car. On the front left side of the car, intermittent gurgling sounds and shocks kept coming. 14. Now there are vibrations in the engine when the car is started. The sound is also getting louder. Although RPM is normal. 15. When driving on the road, intermittent whirring sounds start coming from the front left side and jerks are felt intermittently. Gears fit properly and do not slip. Please tell what could be wrong with the car? What should I do now? I have already spent Rs 1,50,000 in VW service center but the situation is same. Car is not able to move on the road. Honda and Hyundai came around the same time in India but where Hyundai succeeded was that they always tend to customers demand and provide the car accordingly. Honda on the other hand says this is what we feel good for you and u should either buy it or leave it. Also, Honda needs to expand their sales and service network. I have 3 Hyundai showrooms near me while Honda has 1 which isn't functioning properly.
In India, we don’t buy cars!! We buy feature rich cabins on four wheels. Hyundai is more successful because they very early on understood that cars are status symbol in India and Indians like to be spoiled by 200 gimmicky features which can flaunt in front of their friends and family but aren’t gonna use much once the honeymoon period is over. Any car which is mechanically well sorted and gets the basics right but doesn’t have a thick brochure has either failed miserably or have a cult following with low sales figure. Look at Nissan kicks, a great driving car that no one buys. The sales figures of 0 star safety rated swift and 3 star rated Creta/Seltos is a testament to the fact that our car market has failed all the quality products big time. That’s why you see Honda, Skoda and VW struggling and Ford, GM, Mitsubishi and Fiat leaving India because they decided not to compromise on their values.
At least honda has good driving, good build quality, space , reliability, decent features, decent styling as compared to koreans where they gain only features and generic styling. Sure it is known for having more features but It won't be useful for after 6 to 7 months
Real litmus test of any car is resale value and skoda / Volkswagen miserably fails on this parameter alone .if there cars where so great why they don't have resale value ( launching new variants every two months only elevates this problem as used car prices fall further )
I beg to disagree here. With their high end cars, they do attract and cars like 700 are doing well in urban areas too. However, a global brand like Toyota has more snob & respect for their experience.
I got elevate ZX MT, have driven 3500 kms... mileage at different speeds are 650 kms trip, speed 80 to 100 kmph... 18.3 kmpl 300 kms trip, speed 95 to 105 kmph .... 17.1 kmpl Ride & handling fantastic ..... perfect touring car !!! All ADAS features work perfect !!! Cars i tried before buying Elevate were Honda city Astor Hector Taigun Virtus Jeep compass XUV300 Scorpio N Ecosports Harrier..... But when i test drive Elevate, i made my decision in 10-15 minutes .... what a car!!!!
Hi, what would you choose between City ZX vs Slavia MY24 1.0 Style (both top varients). I am leaning towards Slavia because of better stock audio setup (with subwoofer) and better screen, better NVH levels, better looks, better build, also better tyres as well. Plus it also gets electric seats, not that it matters too much
Even I had an inclination towards Virtus... before buying CITY 5G Petrol V MT. I liked Virtus. Bur then I had owned a honda civic for 15 years and amaze for 10 years. Both of them never gave me any problems and service were top notch. I have this habit of mailing to the higher officials to check the service quality but I have never done this in Honda. Such is the service quality. I am a resident of Chhattisgarh but the sales experience has been similar with the one shared in this video. The claps and the celebration and all. Why fix something that ain't broken. I AM DELIGHTED TO OWN HONDA. I will recommend it to any one looking for quality and value. For VW I have heard scary stories about breakdown,expensive spares if available and expensive maintenance. I am a middle class person who drives sedate. I never kicked in the vtech in civic. I wanted hassle-free and peaceful ownership experience of car. HONDA never disappointed me. Ps. Not a paid review. Personal experience.
Lol stock audio systems are just bad in every car , u need to spend to get good audio experience, most the company's they just put stickers 😂 , speakers are just average quality .

In higher end Volvo XC 90's Bower and Wilkins setup sounds phenomenal. So it's not like all cars have crappy setups. It's just that I'll need to spend some more money. But Slavia's setup also sounds above average and way better than the City
Well…whosoever told this guy about the weight of mg astor i have a correction, kerb weight of astor is 1300kg, The weight of vw taigun is 1260-1290kg as per the engine specs . Talking about the gross weight. Mg astor stands at 1650kgs. Which is similar to that of taigun. When it comes to safety, kerb weight is actually what matters as it is the weight of the frame/ structure of the vehicle without any internal load like plastics, electrical components etc. Also, when we talk about safety, it’s not always about how the car takes the impact. It also depends upon the car’s behaviour in xyz driving conditions like hard braking, acceleration, sudden steering manoeuver etc, other tech involved like brake disk drying, electronic differential lock etc, nose dive dynamics and balance of the vehicle during sudden braking etc. And in all those departments VW stands wayyy ahead of any other manufacturer be it tata, mg, Hyundai, honda or anyone else. Honda mg tata etc. They all are great but i feel that škoda and vw are a notch better than anyone else.

I agree with honda being poor in marketing. Elevate is best vfm in mid size suv segment. I have booked it and when i inform my near ones, very few are even aware about it.

It is not just about Ads. The City 4th Gen looked like a Lamborghini in the front, with sharp curves all over the body. It looked awesome. If they would have released it in bright red colour (like the Skoda MonteCarlo edition), then it would have sold like crazy. The City 5th Gen just looks boring.

V is one of most value for money model in industry, industry over here means hatchs, cross over/beefed up hatches (so called SUV). Man what will you do of 200mm GC, you ride it in city and highway not in off-road. Activa, Bullet offer same 160-165 GC and people ride 'em in city, Ladakh, village every where.

In 2023 no car journalist should be kind to a car that costs more than 12 lakh and doesnt provide "Cruise Control" and shame on those manufacturer which instead provides useless sunroof instead of this very useful cruise control. It reduces driver fatigue, helps in maintaining legal speeds, eliminates speed challans, Increases fuel efficiency, reduces wear & tear in long run and makes roads safer for driver & other road users. A cruise control module cost merely ₹17k. XUV700 despite costing a bomb & having waiting period of more than a newly conceived child carelessly skips this feature, wow! what a cheap move M&M. Now Honda Elevate has joined the cheap with xuv700 what a shame.
Because people doesn't know the difference between the inline 4 and inline 3 and they also doesn't know what is the quality of the products used inside the car... Honda if you look from a make sense perspective honda cars makes sense
@@SunderdeepSingh That is international honda saying "Hi" to unreliability by adding turbo to a small engine, if you look at the one in india it's pretty reliable without turbo as it is a proven engine used for many years and I rather take an issue with the balance shaft than with the engine or a gear box. It's like either getting shot on the head or foot and i rather take it on the foot.

Nowadays JDM term is being used nonsensically for any car that has a Japanese parent company. JDM purely means a car which was designed solely for Japanese Domestic market and later that was imported to other countries either by CBU or assembly. City is nothing like a JDM car. Old Civic was kind of a JDM. And city is a tin can with a gem of an engine. People buy it for the interiors and ability to withstand abuse. Thats all
Skoda and Volkswagen cars are selling by launching new variants of same car almost every two months -- Honda never does such cheap gimmicks to sell car --- this only kills exisiting customer resale value .

I have Honda City v variant in August 2023. The behaviour of the staff amazing. I must say Honda is the only car which is value for money bcs they are providing adas in just 13.5 lakh ..... So no brand is offering this high value features in this price point. I really love what Honda but they should focus on their advertisement strategies.

Atkinson cycle se how does Elevate become underpowered? Ideally, Atkinson cycle Elevate could've been priced at about 50-70K premium on top of the city hybrid. But this will still be on par with the Top end GV, Hyryder, Seltos... I think the sole reason for their not bringing the hybrid to Elevate is R&D + investment + supply issues with the hybrid tech.

- lack of turbo engine
( But its not that much of a con as iVTEC NA engine has its own +ves, it pulls upto 7500 rpms and has enough power for overtakes. but ivtec is hella reliable)
- driving dynamics are good but not as great as germans.
what u get is
excellent engine, excellent looks, excellent features
as said before, its a no brainer in 12-14 lacs, but if u have a budget of 15L+, do pick Germans with eyes closed as they offer Much greater VFM
- better engines and driving dynamics with a solid built
but they also have their cons of reliability and notorious transmission issues (if not operated well) + ac issues recently.
Moreover, they lack some important safety, convenience and styling features in base variants like:
- Only 2 airbags
- No touchscreen
- No Fog Lamps
- No cruise control
- No centre armrests ( not in both front and rear seats)

Hello good afternoon Sir my vento diesel 1.6 L first injector was damaged I request to please guide me any local repair shop in patiala because Volkswagen said that it cost me around 30k.
Astor also has the 1.3 L turbo petrol + TC combo. Unfortunately, its tuned very badly. The car only revs to 4-4.5K rpm on flooring the pedal, no sports mode, no paddle shifters.
It has plenty of power. The problem is the way the power is delivered, especially the turbo lag. But it drives like a boat.

[27/11, 19:22] Jitendra Mishra: Subject :- Regarding my Car Vento TSI still not running.
The point wise details under the above topic are as follows-
1. I have Volkswagen's Vento 1.2 TSI petrol car, which has DSG Gear box. This is a 2017 model and has covered only 26000 kms so far.
2. Was parked in the parking lot last July 2023. The entire tire was submerged in the flood water and the inside of the car was also filled with water.
3. Due to this the gear lever was not shifting from P mode. P was flashing in the dashboard.
4. The car kept drying in the sun for 15 to 20 days.
5. Even car was starting well. The original sound was coming like a new car. Engine was perfect.
6. After watching a video on TH-cam - "Factory reset DSG gear box in minutes", I did the following while standing -
(a) Sitting inside the car.
(b) Locked the doors.
(c) Put the key in the ignition and turn it to accessory position. Waited for 15 seconds.
(d) Now pressed the gas pedal and kept it pressed for 30 seconds.
(e) After this, switched it off and took out the key.
(f) Took the foot off the gas pedal.
(g) Now waited for 3 minutes.
(h) After this the car was started.
7. After doing the above steps and starting the car, a loud noise came from below. The engine sound started getting louder and the RPM also increased slightly.
8. After this another incident happened. To take the car to the Service Centre, open the cover of the gear lever, press the yellow button and put it in Neutral in the Emergency programme.
9. During this emergency program, the lever shifted to Reverse (R) due to which the whole car shocked and there was a loud rattling sound came from below.
10. In the company's Bhopal service center, the entire system below gear lever was only found to be damaged due to waterlogging, which was replaced with a brand new one.

Refused because the car had driven only 26000 KM. The center wanted to increase the estimate. I felt that way.
12. After having cleaned the rust/dust and clean the fly wheel with chemicals, gear box fitted back.
13. Brought home 300 KM from Bhopal while driving the car. On the front left side of the car, intermittent gurgling sounds and shocks kept coming.
14. Now there are vibrations in the engine when the car is started. The sound is also getting louder. Although RPM is normal.
15. When driving on the road, intermittent whirring sounds start coming from the front left side and jerks are felt intermittently. Gears fit properly and do not slip.
Please tell what could be wrong with the car? What should I do now? I have already spent Rs 1,50,000 in VW service center but the situation is same. Car is not able to move on the road.

Honda and Hyundai came around the same time in India but where Hyundai succeeded was that they always tend to customers demand and provide the car accordingly. Honda on the other hand says this is what we feel good for you and u should either buy it or leave it. Also, Honda needs to expand their sales and service network. I have 3 Hyundai showrooms near me while Honda has 1 which isn't functioning properly.

In India, we don’t buy cars!! We buy feature rich cabins on four wheels.
Hyundai is more successful because they very early on understood that cars are status symbol in India and Indians like to be spoiled by 200 gimmicky features which can flaunt in front of their friends and family but aren’t gonna use much once the honeymoon period is over.
Any car which is mechanically well sorted and gets the basics right but doesn’t have a thick brochure has either failed miserably or have a cult following with low sales figure. Look at Nissan kicks, a great driving car that no one buys.
The sales figures of 0 star safety rated swift and 3 star rated Creta/Seltos is a testament to the fact that our car market has failed all the quality products big time.
That’s why you see Honda, Skoda and VW struggling and Ford, GM, Mitsubishi and Fiat leaving India because they decided not to compromise on their values.
At least honda has good driving, good build quality, space , reliability, decent features, decent styling as compared to koreans where they gain only features and generic styling. Sure it is known for having more features but It won't be useful for after 6 to 7 months
Real litmus test of any car is resale value and skoda / Volkswagen miserably fails on this parameter alone .if there cars where so great why they don't have resale value ( launching new variants every two months only elevates this problem as used car prices fall further )

Hi, what would you choose between City ZX vs Slavia MY24 1.0 Style (both top varients). I am leaning towards Slavia because of better stock audio setup (with subwoofer) and better screen, better NVH levels, better looks, better build, also better tyres as well. Plus it also gets electric seats, not that it matters too much
Even I had an inclination towards Virtus... before buying CITY 5G Petrol V MT. I liked Virtus. Bur then I had owned a honda civic for 15 years and amaze for 10 years. Both of them never gave me any problems and service were top notch. I have this habit of mailing to the higher officials to check the service quality but I have never done this in Honda. Such is the service quality. I am a resident of Chhattisgarh but the sales experience has been similar with the one shared in this video. The claps and the celebration and all.
Why fix something that ain't broken. I AM DELIGHTED TO OWN HONDA. I will recommend it to any one looking for quality and value. For VW I have heard scary stories about breakdown,expensive spares if available and expensive maintenance.
I am a middle class person who drives sedate. I never kicked in the vtech in civic. I wanted hassle-free and peaceful ownership experience of car. HONDA never disappointed me.

Well…whosoever told this guy about the weight of mg astor i have a correction, kerb weight of astor is 1300kg, The weight of vw taigun is 1260-1290kg as per the engine specs . Talking about the gross weight. Mg astor stands at 1650kgs. Which is similar to that of taigun. When it comes to safety, kerb weight is actually what matters as it is the weight of the frame/ structure of the vehicle without any internal load like plastics, electrical components etc. Also, when we talk about safety, it’s not always about how the car takes the impact. It also depends upon the car’s behaviour in xyz driving conditions like hard braking, acceleration, sudden steering manoeuver etc, other tech involved like brake disk drying, electronic differential lock etc, nose dive dynamics and balance of the vehicle during sudden braking etc. And in all those departments VW stands wayyy ahead of any other manufacturer be it tata, mg, Hyundai, honda or anyone else. Honda mg tata etc. They all are great but i feel that škoda and vw are a notch better than anyone else.

4+2 years with 1.50 lac km warranty should be enough. Newer DQ200 comes with better gaskets & torque handling and would not fail.

It is not just about Ads. The City 4th Gen looked like a Lamborghini in the front, with sharp curves all over the body. It looked awesome. If they would have released it in bright red colour (like the Skoda MonteCarlo edition), then it would have sold like crazy. The City 5th Gen just looks boring.

I am user of two generations of Honda City
In 2023 no car journalist should be kind to a car that costs more than 12 lakh and doesnt provide "Cruise Control" and shame on those manufacturer which instead provides useless sunroof instead of this very useful cruise control. It reduces driver fatigue, helps in maintaining legal speeds, eliminates speed challans, Increases fuel efficiency, reduces wear & tear in long run and makes roads safer for driver & other road users. A cruise control module cost merely ₹17k.
XUV700 despite costing a bomb & having waiting period of more than a newly conceived child carelessly skips this feature, wow! what a cheap move M&M. Now Honda Elevate has joined the cheap with xuv700 what a shame.

@@SunderdeepSingh That is international honda saying "Hi" to unreliability by adding turbo to a small engine, if you look at the one in india it's pretty reliable without turbo as it is a proven engine used for many years and I rather take an issue with the balance shaft than with the engine or a gear box. It's like either getting shot on the head or foot and i rather take it on the foot.

Nowadays JDM term is being used nonsensically for any car that has a Japanese parent company.
JDM purely means a car which was designed solely for Japanese Domestic market and later that was imported to other countries either by CBU or assembly.
City is nothing like a JDM car. Old Civic was kind of a JDM.
And city is a tin can with a gem of an engine. People buy it for the interiors and ability to withstand abuse. Thats all

I have Honda City v variant in August 2023. The behaviour of the staff amazing. I must say Honda is the only car which is value for money bcs they are providing adas in just 13.5 lakh ..... So no brand is offering this high value features in this price point. I really love what Honda but they should focus on their advertisement strategies.
