Naruto wasn't weak here, he knew what boruto was doing was by choice, deep down he knew how Boruto felt, he was helpless in not finding a way to resolve his son's predicament. He doesn't see boruto as a kid anymore but as a selfless shinobi with a huge burden to carry, so no don't call him weak here, calling Naruto weak here is like telling a father who is crying because his son is admitted in a hospital as weak

@@StrangeNative69 Yes but that was because the 5 great nations were at conflict for many decades. This was resolved in the War arc and after the war was over, the world was at peace.
In the Boruto era, the concept of children fighting and dying was basically unheard of, and the newer generation got softer and rarely showed such resolve as Boruto did.
Boruto grew from insufferable to indomitable.

Pure character development, that's what I always liked about Boruto, he went from the typical child with paternal problems to a great shinobi. Which in fact the series warns you from the first chapter.

Then Boruto and Kawaki mutually agreed that he should die so Momo couldn't possess him again

The voice actor did a rellay good job in this episode. I can hear the pain what boruto feels.
After waiting for this scene to be adapted by the anime for so long, I'm satisfied with the result. Plus, the detail of Boruto's spine getting destroyed by Kawaki's punch was perfect too.

This was the deepest and craziest battle and story line I have ever witnessed. This situation situation is getting so deep. The fact that kawaki killed boruto to save the hokage. Words couldn't describe how unreal the situation was when naruto seen his son on the ground like that. I can not wait to see what happens next because this is as serious as its gonna get. Somebody we love will die and it's coming soon. There is no way everybody is walking out alive. 😕

Finally boruto reached his peak of development he's willing to take the hardest route,he's willing to sacrifice himself for village even if it cost his life. The callback to the windup Kawaki used on Garo to run through him and it being used here makes me think Boruto has been planning something like this subconsciously since that moment

It expanded out of the back of his body. Kawakis fist penetrated boruto, and then once it entered it blew his back out…
This is peak storyline right here. No sexualized characters, no edgy badass trope, no overpowered characters, no pointless hyped up fights. Pure story with character development and lore. Everything has a reason and everything is connected. I love that naruto franchise didn't throw away the old gen way of storytelling.

the parallels between Boruto and Garou were definitely there, which is why reusing the death animation fit so well. Both were fighting Kawaki to the death, but only one of them was shakily scared. Boruto accepted his fate and stood still as Kawaki lunged at him. It really shows how well his character has developed.

Boruto died in front of naruto , while Naruto promised to never let anything happens to him . Boruto showed great resolve and courage at the young age and sacrificerd his life without hesitation for the sake of his loved ones , but i think naruto wasn't ever mentally prepared to see the result of his son resolve....he was a father , no matter what 😢

The difference between Naruto and boruto is that in the case of Naruto ,kurama isn't constantly taking over his body....it's just sealed inside of him and may take over at some point of fully gives in himself like in the pain fight ...
But in the case of boruto no matter what he tried or does the karma will keep re writing his entire dna structure and when it extracts 100% he will change into momoshiki with his consciousness forever lost...They can't stop it...But Naruto didn't have that problem....That's why boruto was more fixated on killing himself as the final option!!

@@epicfunnymemes1815 I'm mainly speaking for how smooth and well done the characters and scenery look. The fighting is a bit slow and some of the cast was poorly portrayed but those are my only complaints
I’m not sure how much more redemption he needs. He was just a kid who loved his father.
Boruto truly grew as a character within this series.
For those who call Boruto series bad because the main character is a non op spoiled brat but that is exactly what makes this series good and somewhat relatable Boruto went from a spoiled brat who disrespect his father to acknowledging his father and developing as a shinobi to going as far as sacrificing himself for his loved ones and then being framed as a traitor forcing him to struggle to save his friends and family is the character development that connect us to the said character

I’m still super pumped that I didn’t get into this show. I’m glad to see it finally have episodes with literally any weight to them, but it’s been like 5 years and there have been a solid 2 good arcs so far.
That looks like a brutal way to go. I'm pretty sure you can see his spine breaking at 1:45. I don't know the context, but the scene reminds me of how Rin sacrificed herself.
