First of all I want to congratulate Madiha for achieving her American dream. It’s not any easy task specially if you are from a different part of the world. Culture shock is worse because most people do not want to loose their identity. I believe this is a must see video for young generation of Pakistan, specially young females who are facing the difficulties Madiha has faced. Some Muslim men are so radicalized that even they live in West but want nothing to do with assimilation of Western culture. I appreciate the host and all the guests for their views. Keep it up. I am subscribing to your podcast right now.

Dr Madiha and Yasmine Mohammed are true feminists. It's been frustrating and depressing how so many in the West have been so comfortable ignoring the plight of the women and LGBT+ folks who happen to be born into Muslim families. Thank you for giving a voice to the voiceless.

I had a syrian neighbour family with 10 children . They were working in Saudi arabia . The woman had varieties of gold ornaments and yet in Canada they were living on welfare 😂😂😂. They had food stamp cards for organic foods twice a week. Their kids bikes were $1500 each given by some ngos or govt themselves. They were put up in 4 star hotel for 8 months or so upon arrival until govt found a 5 bedroom townhouse to house them and govt paid 80% of the rent 😂😂😂😂.. while I , a Canadian tax paying citizen couldn't afford organic food , let alone $1500 bikes for my kids 😂😂😂😂.

      Lucky family eh😅
I can attest most refugees are not balling like that. Perhaps, it is that saudi oil money?
Anyway, my family came here as refugees when I was little. Most refugees are traumatized from sudden loss of everything they had and have know in their lives; stability, family members, seeing piles of dead human bodies, women and girls usually get raped, hunger, fear etc. On top of all that PTSD, they also have to deal with culture shock and language barriers in their new home countries as they try to assimilate. My parents barely speak English and have worked custodial and housekeeping jobs to raise us. My siblings and I were lucky enough to be educated here in Canada and get stable jobs. So I'd rather be a tax paying citizen in a stable country with peace and order than experience what my parents went through.

@hania.1827 so why do many of them ( you included ) flee a troubled country ( the troubles clearly caused by is1am n it's tribalism and it's terrorism backed by it's doctrines ) and come to the west and fall into the same extremism n tribalism n the same religion and support the political invasion of the west our universities n every sector ? Don't tell me you are not one of them. Perhaps u are not. But you have similar backgrounds of the same people who come here seeking refuge but after getting all they want , start acting smart n destroying the west or support destruction of the west. Why ? What according to you is enabling them or forcing them or helping them to do this ?

I lost hope and security about Canada. I don't know what to do else other than just voting.
Trudo government just announced they want to allow not 1000 but 5000 Palestinians refuges. I understand that situation in Gaza in catastrophic, but we have to be honest that most of the civilians are brainwoshed. Once they arrive in Canada, they likely will keep their mindset and values. Plus, they will most likely joine the local far-right Muslims. How we can help these newcomers understand that their hatred to our lifestyle is unacceptable. Also, stop our government from damaging our security.

A mother reminds the daughter that she had been living in Allah’s hell with her husband is incredible. Growing up in Pakistan, she stays imprisoned. She wants to go out and play and she can’t. She can’t because she is in a Muslim world. “Wife-beating” is divinely sanctioned. While living in America, of all the books to read, she was reading Quran. To figure out how to hold the center. It didn’t take that long because the reader is blessed with a critical eye. The good news is that she was not alone in Allah’s Animal Farm. In a book Beyond Belief, written by V.S. Naipaul, a woman rebels in a strict Muslim household. What is amazing about Islam is that its cruelties remain invisible to the believers. It’s the writer Naipaul who said that Islam is the only religion without a conscience.

@@TheAmrthe2nd I am confused. Hinduism is not a religion in an abrahamic sense. It consists of thousands or more religions and most believe that all religions, including atheism are true. It is a different framework. The goal of religion is atheism. Religion begins when we transcend thoughts and concepts.

Mediha, I congratulate you for your bravery and being open-minded about Islam. However, I would like to correct you about the episode of Ram and Sita in Ramayana, a Hindu scripture from several thousands years ago. Ram is represented as an ideal son, husband, brother, and King. He was forced to make Sita undergo the agni pariksha for the sake of showing to his people that royalty also has to hold the same high morality as common people. Sita was herself a Goddess as is equally worshipped in Hinduism, so as other goddesses like Parvati, Lakshmi, and Sarasvati. In practice however, there are misogynistic men like anywhere else. Hindus are, however, more open socially and open to criticism about their culture.

What do you do if you have a friend who , you tell him you do not like going to a certain religious gathering event , because all of the boys and grown men there keep cutting in front of the girls and women? I told him I do not like that , they have no manners , they are here in America and are cutting all the girls and women in line for popcorn ... and when I told him that he got mad and said he does not like criticism. I told him he has to be in manner patrol and tell off whatever males are trying to cut me . He gets defensive and seems like anything that criticizes the bad part of his culture , and brings up a real problem, he wants to bury it under the sand and ignore the issue . It is very frustrating . It is not an emergency food line . It is a line to wait to play your turn at a game to get popcorn. What on earth is going on here ?

I am a psychic, and expert healer, and do communicate with souls in the afterlife. These spiritual gifts have helped me a lot in knowing some of the secrets in the afterlife. There are some secrets I am not permitted to tell in order not to meddle with everyone's gift of free will. In the last days of, nuclear era, an Armageddon war will occur. It's a fight between the forces of evil and the forces of good. The religion created by the Lord Jesus will have a conflict with the religion of a man named Muhammad. Muhammad is not a prophet. Allah is not the name of God. A God has no beginning or end has no name. God's name depends on time. Muslims who have experienced death have proven to themselves that the Lord Jesus is a true man and a true God. However to say that the name of God is only Jesus is also not right. The teaching in Islam that Muslim women have no right to choose their future husbands and the vocation they want in life is not right. The teaching that a nine-year-old girl can already be sold by his father to a man for marriage is also not right. The teaching that a jihadist will have a gift of 72 virgins in heaven is very very wrong. There is no sex in the afterlife. Also, God is not that stupid to serve as a PIMP to these insane Muslims. Common sense will tell you whose religion is on the evil side. Please use it for the sake of world peace and to prevent the prophesied nuclear war. There will be an alignment of forces in the last few days. China, Russia, North Korea, and most Islamic countries are now making an alignment nowadays with their forces. Do you think they are the evil forces?

@@Sindhi001 Many widows are described as marrying in ancient texts.
There was never a consensus on what you call "old Hindu law". There are many different dharma shastras and within these texts several alternatives were offered. The reader is asked to choose between them or choose another path entirely. A common theme is that rules should change over time and that a nation should keep changing laws to match changing times. The ancient dharma shaastras don't tell you what to do--but ask you to figure it out on your own.
Many ancient civilizations are like this.
"Sati" was never a common practice. It came into vogue because of islamist invasions because woman didn't want to be raped or forcibly married. "Sati" is continually criticized in many ancient texts and by many ancient authors. The first example of Sati that I remember is Madri. She committed suicide because she blamed herself for killing her husband. And what Madri did was not regarded positively.
Some woman had rights of inheritance in the ancient world too. Individuals have the right to determine who inherits their property. If someone doesn't have a "will", then it falls to courts. And there are many different points of view on woman inheriting wealth. In some interpretations, unmarried woman had more inheritance rights than married woman with respect to her birth family. But there was no consensus about this.
Bhishma use to say that the intent of the law was more important than the letter of the law. Which implies that judges need to use their own judgement based on the particulars of a case, and not rely excessively on previous case law and laws. Bhishma practices this in the mahabharata by making a 13 year old the Prime Minister of the kingdom on the basis of merit. Breaking his own rule of not selecting Prime Ministers less than 50 years old.
In ancient asia, matriarchy, patriarchy and lbgtq+ groups existed side by side. Different groups practiced their own preference. The idea of forcing a common framework on everyone is a modern idea.
In many ways the modern world is more patriarchal and less matriarchal and lbgtq+ friendly than the ancient world.

So I was like why Allah/The Sovereignty is sending this verse , like what are we supposed to do with it now after, 1400 years later? it's a useless words for us, what are we supposed to learn from this incident.'' And shamelessly you continue saying that there were meaningless verses, so many there, there was another verse where Allah/The Sovereignty Says that all the muslim men can marry their adopted sons wives. What I have learned from this incident is that you're a liar deceiver slandering satan opponent of the truth, because none of these things you said is in the Quran/Reading whatsoever. Here I rest my case.
