One of the most fun games and best deals on Steam right now! The game is called Kingdom Come #knights #duel #swordfighting #swordfights #openworldgames
it definitely has a lot of that "first game" jank, like bugs, poor voice acting in places, the spacing between spoken lines being a little weird etc. The world, characters, story, and gameplay mechanics are ridiculously charming though. It also has a really nice balance between goofy antics and serious messed up moments. I do think the poor voice acting/VA direction can hurt that in moments though. The only truly unforgivable thing with the game is master strike, i get the intention behind it, but it takes all the complex combat mechanics and reduces it down to "master strike, hit once, repeat". Turning those off through mods, or using mods that adjust the rates enemies can use them, makes the swordplay so much more fun.
The fact that this game starts out so difficult makes the later parts so satisfying to play. I bought it for like $3 and got like 200 hours out of it on my first play through. One of my favorite games I ever played. Every bit of dialogue had effect on the game itself. It's super immersive in that way.
I struggle to play an "open world" game where you're playing a premade character. I gave this game a shot for an hour and ended up refunding it. Lots of people praise it, but I've been having much more fun in Dragons Dogma DA which I recently picked up on GOG. Props to any company that puts their game on GOG though!
for me its just the bugs and the combat. Combat is basically perfect but master strike is a stupid mechanic for both the player and the AI. I get why it was included, because combat vs multiple opponents can feel unfair without it, but if you try and use anything other than master strike yourself the combat is beyond painful. I just use a mod to remove it and by god the game is fun.
@@Officerbarbrady_yt i very much hope so, but even if they dont the mods will be released. Idk how far you are into the game, the algorithm recommended it to me since im replaying the game, but combat against anything but basic bandits becomes painful quick. i prefer it with just basic perfect blocks, because it costs no stamina and if you're skilled you can face multiple opponents with it. you dont need to be locked on to an enemy to perfect block, so as long as you dont get surrounded you can infinitely perfect block while weaving in your own attacks. It makes fighting 3+ opponents quite long mind you, but it feels like an epic combat encounter rather than abusing game mechanics.
I’m one who got hooked on this game. Truly one of those hit or miss. I really do feel bad for folks who just can’t see the beauty

KCD is the most underrated game of all time!
@DJChappie001, this video is literally all of the time i've been able to spend in it so far. Can't wait to play more!

His adventure ends just before it started. No KCD 2 release.
@marckennethcabanero7467, it sure did 😆
Lol real
without mods ... this game is unplayable for me...
@RainHellCZ I’ve yet to dabble in the mods yet. Good idea 👍

@@declancampbell1277 Thanks for the comment. I'll give that a go. Maybe they'll clean some of that up in KCD2
