ok but if anyone ever tells me that zach is a d-bag or something like that and that he deserved to be on the list, i will fite them so hard. i get that he took away the compliments from hannah when she needed them most, but gal, you pushed him away when he was reaching out, you mistreated him first and it is not his fault that he isn't good with words, no guy is :/ i'm so salty because i loooove zach, he is definitely one of my faves, underestimated a lot so my kind of boi.
and i loved the idea of them tbh, i think it would have done them both good because i refuse to believe zach was anything like marcus or bryce ugh.
this video has made me so happy though, because 13 reasons why is such a good book and tv show and just.. it needs to be known, so much representation in everything.

YAAAAAAS GOD YAAAAAS... But I think it was like Clay, it showed that Hannah also made the mistake of pushing certain people away, out of fear and pride, I hated it as much as you did but at least it gave a more realistic tone to the show. & Zach seemed to come out of it all really changed, letting go of the toxic d-bags in his life (I've turned it into a really long comment aha)

Yeah but he was also a victim of peer pressure. I'm not saying he was super perfect and always right, but he was also bullied to a certain extent (with everyone saying that he is dumb). I think he had genuinely tried to reach out to her and felt even more stupid when she rejected him. I don't blame her at all, bc most people would have reacted the same way, but it gave the other side of the story.
you know if hannah had listen to kat and gone for zach in the first place I'm not saying things would've been better but it definitely wouldnt have ended the way it did

I swear he was one of the only guys (besides clay) that did not deserve to be on that list. He never did anything to try and hurt her. And she was so caught up in her own issues that when he tried to reach out to her she pushed him away so damn rudely. He was hella nervous and you could tell but he says one small thing that didn't come out like he meant and she flips shit! And he saved the letter didn't toss it. I get he didn't talk to her about it but I mean come on he's just a high school boy who was over whelmed! And can you blame him for not talk to her? I mean he tried to comfort her but she yelled at him so he assumed she didn't want his help. Yes maybe he should have tried again but then he'd be risking her getting pissed again. All I'm saying is he didn't deserve to be on the tape and she is not the fucking victim with him

The way that Hannah was treated before Zach, I could understand why Hannah is more guarded, but Zach was a douchebag at first but the way he was trying to reach out before she died was heartbreaking. Zach is a complicated human being he did bullied Hannah but one thing for sure is that he has a heart and he was trying to make things better. It is really complicated, hopefully in the second season (If there is) we can see Zach's progression.

I understand some part of him but he's not innocent. He's the one who hold Justin back while Bryce sending pictures to everyone. And he just followed Marcus and did nothing when Marcus tried to show friends how to fuck Hannah, calling her basically slut. Also he admited that he said some nasty things about Hannah like the other guys. There are reasons why Hannah didn't believe him. I mean, how can people blame Hannah? She was so weak and broken that time. How can she trust someone so easily and always be kind?
I don’t really think that Zach should of been on the tapes because he wanted Hannah. Hannah was in distress, so she didn’t know what to do. Hannah should’ve gave Zach a chance. I know, I know, at some points, he was a douche bag, but he’s sweet and Hannah just blew him off in front of the whole school. That must’ve been humiliating for Zach. Zach is one of my favorite characters with Jeff. (RIP JEFF 😭) I loved you.. I love Zach and Jeff so much, they deserved better. ❤️

honestly, I ship Hannah and Clay, but I also ship her with Zach. I hate how people show great dislike towards him, yes he did her wrong to her at one point, but he was just frustrated because like, he did try reaching out to her. she pushed him away, and while maybe he shouldn't have reacted how he did, he was honest about what happened and truly felt bad unlike others. so, I loved this video, Zach is great. and I think he and Hannah would've made a really cute pairing
