The actual brains are private employees working in Medha private rail coach factory in Hyderabad who are actually designing and developing the required electrical equipment and motors for these trains and these private employees get less pay. All govt employees should be sacked and sent to home. Private employees should be given high salaries
VB is a very futuristic semi high speed train and we need to develop a sleeper car version also. More shop floors & workers are required for each segment to ramp up production as I find the current capacity not enough to make 6 VB per month to achieve the target of 75 VB by August 23. Also VB has a good potential for exports like metro coaches, so production should be outsourced to private players.

But take a look at the equivalent semi-high speed trainsets manufactured in Europe or even China (the Chinese CR200J is a good example) and you can see Vande Bharat has a dated design by international standards. IR badly needs competition from the private sector in rolling stock manufacturing. Like the case of Alstom which builds semi-high speed trainsets for Delhi-Meerut RRTS, the Govt should encourage other European firms like Siemens as well to setup factories in India and manufacture trainsets and coaches for IR.

I want Coromandel Express to be upgraded to Vande bharat from ICF coach. This train wasn't given LHB. It's the most prestigious out of Chennai and a tribute to ICF team also
Coromandel is sleeper train where as vande bharat is chair car.....and vande bharat are for now premium trains I.e, at the lvl of shatabdi/Gatiman not a nrml express train

Vande Bharat might be revolutionary by Indian standards, but it is way behind equivalents from Europe and China in their manufacturing quality and design aesthetics. IR needs to open up more of rolling stock manufacturing to private suppliers as well. Alstom already has a factory here that builds semi-high speed trainsets for Delhi-Meerut RRTS. If there is sufficient scope for business with IR, we could get Siemens and Talgo to open manufacturing plants as well. Depending solely on Govt-owned coach factories like ICF and MCF isn't going to get us anywhere.
Train set itself is one of the smaller challenges that high-speed rails face. The larger challenge is the infrastructure like tracks and signalling. Better infrastructure than the existing ones are necessary if you want say 350 km/h trains. Without better infrastructure, train sets simply cannot sustain 350 km/h speeds "Made-in-india train set" is great only for nationalistic dickwaving and winning elections without great infrastructure

Although the vande Bharat train is good, but if you see the data, almost 50% seats remains vacant in vande Bharat on regular basis in varanasi route. So i suspect the future of vande Bharat, because people don't have money to travel at that much fare. Even i am from Varanasi but I rarely use vande Bharat as the fare is quite high compared to 3rd ac of other trains.
They are launched for future. After 2 to 3 years things will change. Gandhi Nagar to Mumbai will make money immediately. Next month they are going to launch Bengaluru to Chennai that will make money too.

Instead of rushing and compromising safety or quality to meet a politically set deadline, I would much prefer ICF be let alone to ensure each train meets the very high standards expected of VB trains. One derailment or crash (even if it has nothing to do with the train itself), and the negative press may hurt VB's export potential.

@@NidhishAbraham Well! Most likely it is unionized. If you work efficiently, a task can be finished in 10 hours. Union negotiated that the task takes two workers and 8 hours each. Then they will be meeting the dead line.
