    The way shriek is shown is like the other side of a coin to ori, shreik refused to let go of her past trauma, rejecting oris forgivness, whilst ori let go of his life with those he cared about, one refused to let go, and the other let go of everything.

      I have so much sympathy for Shriek. She's just a orphaned child suffering from severe ptsd from which she chose to live by. She saw the world through darkness and rejected the light, even when Ori tried to offer friendship to her. In the end, she died the way she was born: beneath the wings of her long dead parents.
      I understand this game's message is that not everyone chooses to embrace the light when all they've known is darkness, but I couldn't help but make my own fanfiction where my OC, the spirit Alu, revives Shriek and helps her understand kindness and becomes her best friend in her own way of redemption.

    GARETH COKER! A turn out of nowhere for us, but i love the composers work on ark and he goes so unappreciated!

      Oh buddy, I learned about his work from Ori. Only found out later he did Ark.
      In this we are different. As for thinking he's underappreciated, we are the same.

      He is THE greatest composer of the century. Also I’m pretty sure hanz zimmer took a queue from him since in prehistoric planet the ending theme is almost identical to the credits theme of Ark Survival Evolved: Extinction

    I used to have an absolute obsession with Ori back in the day, so seeing this on my subscriber feed puts a smile on my face

    This is truly one of your best mixes. I haven’t had this many goosebumps, been in absolute awe of the power of ‘Shriek and Ori’, and felt so emotional during the final moments. 11/10

    This was one of the best bossfights I ever had, especially because of the soundtrack. I beat it first try, the only boss in the game to do so. At first I almost got wiped quickly but caught my footing and just as 7:36 started I felt like I was taking charge of the fight, Shriek was going to lose, Ori was in unstoppable now

    LETS GOOOO this is one of my final bosses ever thanks to Gareth Coker's phenomenal work.
    And yup, in game version is actually slightly different to the soundtrack's(again) great mix!

      I've seen some people argue that shrieks end was done poorly, but, in comparison to kuro, what would have redeemed shriek? Kuro sacrificed herself, even accepting her certain death from the light, all because she realized she was doing to others what she tried to stop, but what could have redeemed shriek? Not even ori sparing her from Seir did, shriek was beyond redemption, she had no real reason to prevent ori from restoring the light, but did so regardless.

      @@cherandshane2683 its definitely a rather grim ending compared to the first one because she was a victim who didnt knew kindness, and died alone. Its sad, and i liked it, but it does still feel like a whiplash at first

    Sadly this game attacks are so BS that you get constantly hit despite your best effort to dodge, hence why i can't enjoy the game enough despite having good OST. Still nice mix :)

      Wait really? I never had that issue

    • @chromatrescu
      @chromatrescu ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jurassicbread4279 the issues i had are mostly from bosses in general, like you die nearly equal amount against Sigrun but in a sense that most of those attacks are so " specific " pattern that you stick with 1 set of weapon + strategy 99% of the time, the spider, Shriek and major bosses in this game idk it feels so restrictive to play compare to Prototype 2 for example that is more freely on switching weapons and playstyle in-combat.

    • @chromatrescu
      @chromatrescu ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jurassicbread4279 that's why i rage quit, but you can see 39daph gameplay on the game aswell, she played decently well in Blind Forest but when she moves to Will of the Wisp the finale took her 3 hours to beat lol .... again specific patterns and restrictive movement made the fight more annoying than enjoyable, it feels like Hollow Knight copies but a failed final boss fight XD

      Shriek has an enormous hitbox. You have to give her a very wide berth when she dives, or her wingtips can still nick you.
