- Video #203 - something different this time! This is a Bus journey from Thrissur to Tiruppur on a combination of Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (Fast Passenger) bus and a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (Coimbatore) Limited (TNSTC-Coimbatore) Express bus.
The journey was in 2 parts - the first part by a KSRTC Fast Passenger from Thrissur to Coimbatore (Gandhipuram), followed by the second part on a TNSTC Express bus from Coimbatore (Gandhipuram) to Tiruppur.
The video features some amazing engine sounds of the Ashok Leyland H-Series Bharat-III Engine, and visuals from Kerala's lifeline National Highway 544 (formerly NH 47).

Happy to see the old platform7❤...waiting for luxury bus journeys the
Nice journey. I have read that Palakkad Pass is a boon for TN. If there was no pass through the Western Ghats, the area near the pass in TN would have become totally dry. Because of this pass, the monsoon clouds travel to TN bringing rain there.
Old Alcos of Ed had a similar whistling sound like the Hino.
Happy to see yr vlog on Sunday. Will follow little later. Keep it up Sir.
Coimbatore bypass road was built by L&T ages ago.
Waiting for the surprise!Must be related to train i guess..
Road Trips are equally exciting. 👏👏👏👏👏
The first thing that Gandhipuram CBS reminds of is Gowrishankar Annapurna!!! No visit is incomplete without a meal/tiffen there
Unexpected bus vlog. Happy Sunday Binai 😊
My audiotery nerves had a good time listening to the Hino, a good replacement for the Alco chugs. I enjoy bus rides more for short journeys because they go through towns and cities rather than train journeys these days after electrification where the landscape turns monotonous after some time. But then nothing can replace the metallic symphony we get on rails.
❤ superb vedio.
Sure You should make bus rides also
It is entirely another vibe on road travel. Ashleys sound is really sweet than their rival tatas. I like Ashley sound. Ashley sound is quite that tata. But bs6 is little noiser.
Shutter bus are very fine for traveling than the new glass window.
Sure 😊
KMGM- CBE ksrtc FP was once the first ever bus to north side from kothamangalam. ie pvt buses were starting only after this CBE fp. And those days one of the most full pax bus besides Kmgm depots Trivandrum Super exp which run the distance of 200 plus km 8n just 5.5 hours
Great work Binai. You are equally proficient in Train as well as Bus travel videos. Would love to see more bus travel videos from you but knowing very well the roads and issue of toll would like to appeal to the Authorities through your channel to properly maintain the roads and sincerely look into the toll issues. Best Wishes. God bless to continue your Travel Videos for hundreds of years.❤
Nice one Binai!. You need to do more of these road trips. Always love the videos along Palghat gap. I've never done it personally though.
It's amazing that the Palghat gap was formed during the split from Madagascar (read some where). May be it wasn't a clean split resulting in the gap and the whole state is a byproduct of erosion of western ghats over millions of years.
Awesome work bro, enjoyed the ride. I was recently in CBE and if I am not wrong it’s the second biggest city in TN, but felt very underwhelming.
Hahaha a bus vlog,for a change ❤
Waiting for Vande Bharat vlog does any chance vb to extend till Mangalore
Kerala is more like a large city with population spread out everywhere, hence the presence of signals. Only greenfield expressways being built are without any signals throughout. The old Mumbai-Pune highway after upgradation is similar with service roads missing at places also the Mumbai-Goa highway which is being upgraded at present has the same issue.
Underpasses and flyovers could've been constructed to avoid signals - that is happening in the current phase of NH expansion
@@Platform7byBinaiSankar Blame the state govt for not even funding land acquisition in Kerala.
@@Travancorepillai Why should the state govt of kerala be blamed for a project built on BOOT? The basic design didn't have flyovers or underpasses - why? What has that to do with the state govt?
@@Platform7byBinaiSankarThis project was executed in 2010 when NHAI was lax and projects were awarded to politically connected contractors. This project was awarded to IVRCL which was a scam like Satyam and went bankrupt.
@@Travancorepillai Precisely the point. There is no involvement of the state in this. Just pathetic design and implementation
A funny incident happened around 20 years ago in CBE. I was waiting at Gandhipuram bus stand and there was a line of buses to Kottarakara. I think Balakrishna Pillai was the transport minister. A local tamilian came to me and asked me in chaste Tamil, Ee Kottarakara ooru yenga so many buses going there.
NHAI needs to address this issue of delay at toll plazas. Lot of time is wasted at peak hours.
Can’t blame NHAI for everything, Indians are the most indisciplines drivers in India. When we go abroad everything changes.
Superb ride ....
Binai both rail and road more informative, 🎉
Nice👍🏼
Not cat and mouse but 😻&😻
❤❤❤
Not just lack of service roads, even widening to 6 lanes is a scam. The original idea of widening included having a wide median to prevent opposite traffic jumping across lanes in cases of accidents. However, over the years NHAI deliberately shortened the median, used the left shoulder space and naming them 6 lanes!!! The stretch where I found service roads laid as mandated was coimbatore - salem stretch of NH544. A good portion of Tumkur - Chitradurga and Dharwad Nippani have service roads as mandated.
That happened because states did not cooperate in land acquisition for the original design. And Kerala was notorious for that.

Bro ee bus yethara manikaa pkd reach avvunneyy??
Around 8.15-8.30
If Kerala is unique for signalled intersection on highways, Karnataka is leading the way with soeedbreakers!!! TN uses barricade technique (usually sponsored by the eatery near the intersection in collusion with local highway patrol/police)!!! That's pretty much how it is in these so called developed states

Very bad🫂❤
