I love Chick Hearn's commentating. Dude was an "NBA commentator" more than a "Lakers commentator". He was a fan of everyone and appreciated talent more than anyone else and he showed it. No matter how old school he was, he loved Iverson's game.

if iverson put in the work like mj, kobe, lebron in PRACTICE, the weight room and nutrition (if he put on 20lbs of muscle), he would have been much better than he was but he was too into the "thug life" and wanting to look like a gangsta to all the wannabe gangstas out there, which he did.
he was still an all time great but what he could've been with the discipline a true professional has... we'll never know.

He wasn't as versatile as Jordan but he didn't need to be when you look at his short comings as far as his size and that's what made him incredible that he was torching dudes at barely 6 feet tall and only 165Ibs. Iverson wanted all that shine and didn’t want to share it. Trynna Street ball his way though the nba. I’m glad Larry Brown won with a team that bought into his style and iverson ended up being an underachiever. Kobe earned his respect but he was more privileged than AI was. AI came in and was straight guts, you could tell he was from the hood and he didn' let the NBA bend him over. Kobe was kinda like the golden boy up until Shaq left and he really had to become the best in that era. I think he really felt the pressure that AI had after the rape trial. It made them kinda similar even thought they didn't have the same exact incident.
