I miss those days.
One of the greatest scoring machines of the NBA. He was a beast at scoring.
People need to understand that he was a nightmare in the passing lanes. His steals count was always at or near the league lead.
He was a career 42.5% from the field 31% from 3 and 78% from the line he was a high usage low% scorer 26.7 ppg on 21.8 FGA KD averages 27.3 ppg on 50% shooting 38% from 3 and 88% from the line and he only takes 18.7FGA
who cares???
@randyholliday5626 you can't compare KD and AI with those stat lines because they are 2 different types of player. KD picks his spots to be efficient. That was not who AI was. His virtue was in his competitiveness and played at full speed the whole game. He got other team in foul trouble with his aggressiveness and speed as a 6 foot guard. And he was clutch as anyone in league's history.

The Knick Fan completely forgot the knicks were a team.
Bro go count how many times he’s getting past the first defender, then the second, and finishing over the third. NBA defenses at the time were literally designed to stop him and could not do anything vs him, that’s why he’s the answer.
80s, 90s & early 2000s the NBA was something magical for me and my family. Brought us all together and was incredible to watch. Now, we wouldn’t turn it on if you paid us.
I've been an NBA fan since 1991, I watched MJ pierce the clouds and Hakeem doing the dream shake, I watched rookie Duncan kicking asses and taking names, I watched Stockton and Malone delivering on every single night and Barkley kicking Shaq's ass in hand to hand combat... and while I consider MJ to be the unquestionable GOAT, never have I asked myself 'is this dude for real' more times than while watching The Answer sending top defenders to get him a soda while he goes warp 9 in the other direction. The skill, the athleticism, the speed and the swagger packed in that 5'11'' skinny frame will never be replicated again.
AI was a nuclear weapon packed in a size of a hand grenade!
Do you remember all of those Stockton elbows getting thrown every game? I definitely remember that plus I remember Stockton being the dirtiest player in the league. Many players even said that about him.
I also remember Malone aka The Black Redneck that turned out to be an even worse person in real life than I thought.
I didn't like them then. Now I see it wasn't just hate from a Sixers fan but it was intuition.
I forgot to mention that the refs treated Utah like family. They got all of the calls.
Anyway, I'm done with my rant. Lol
