I called LG customer support and the customer support agent was able to tell me that CL meant child lock but she didn't tell me how to unlock it so I was left thinking there was something wrong with the dishwasher. I was on with customer support for over an hour and was ready to return the dishwasher. Thank you for this video! You were able to resolve my issue in four minutes when LG customer support could not (even though I was on with them for over an hour)!
Thank heavens for videos like these - I was pressing start for 3 seconds which was cancelling the operation. Thanks for showing me how to operate the DW (we're at a cottage rental right now). So I won't have to wash the whole load by hand, whew!

It's extremely frustrating because we only use it to store the dishes we've already washed by hand. I've had repair men cone in twice, they get it to work and then when I go to use it it won't respond. Also, I never got a manual for the dishwasher. I think if I had a manual I could at least get an idea of what I'm doing wrong.

My question is, how do I know it’s finished if I don’t hear the jingle? There are three lights on the front…..do they indicate/go out when it’s done? Thanks.
It's Night Drying which runs a fan to vent the dishwasher after the cycle is complete, so the heat and moisture in the dishwasher don't condensate on the dishes. It's a default option for most cycles except Normal I think.
There is an *Rinse under one of the cycles on the left. Hold it for 3 seconds to activate. (Then press start, assuming you have already turned on the power.)
Can anyone share the model # of this exact dishwasher? We bought a house the serial # tag is missing but we have to repair the control panel. W/o the serial # or model # LG is unable to help me.
The Express does it in 34 minutes. Also, you could run the cycle just before you go to bed and wake up to clean and dry dishes. So far it's been working really well for me. The only thing I am trying to figure out is if the auto open feature, with on this model? There's an auto open light but there seems to be no way to turn it on.
Worst dishwasher I've ever owned. Replaced baskets due to rust 1 year in. Replaced main board 2nd year and now the dishwasher is dead due to a motor mount leak.

We found another dishwasher that was the most popular in America - not becuase it is better than LG - it is because it is just a little smaller which makes it possible for the majority of Americans to install it. Make the LG a little less deep and it will be the number one dishwasher in the United States!

As Elon Musk would say, "THIS IS A DUMB DESIGN." WAY, WAY, WAY OVER COMPLICATED FOR A DISHWASHER. I AM FEELING RIPPED OFF. 1/2" thick manual! WOW. I just bought it today and they want $5.00 to answer my question of how to turn drying off.
I found out from the LG chat (for free) that you cannot unactivate drying. You have to use the Turbo cycle which is the only cycle that doesn't have drying.

So you have to have the door open to set it? The door is closed and I have been trying to set it that way. I can see everything with it closed.
