Just wanted to know if I can take the water supply line out the side & through the cabinet near the front where the hookup is bcuz my install is certainly a pain in the arse!! If I exit it through the rear of the washer, then I'll easily need a 12' ft supply line. The way I want to attempt it should only take 8- 10 ft of supply line.

When my dishwasher arrived yesterday, I got it in the house, unboxed it and stood in my kitchen staring at it for ten or fifteen minutes before finally deciding I'd better find an installation video. Thank God this was the first video I came to because it was perfect. From unboxing to up-and-running, you left nothing out and explained every step VERY well. Got my LG dishwasher delivered today but the techs were unable to install due to a plastic stop valve underneath my sink. Picked up a brass one at my local hardware store and changed it out. Watched this video and boom, installed it myself. Just saved me 160bucks!!!! Running a test cycle and no leaks! 🙌

Great video - thank you. It’d cost me $300.00 if I hired someone to install this but you made it look easy peasy! I’m feeling confident that I could do it and pay the money to me! Update: the really cool thing about this video was that I bought the exact same dishwasher. I watched your tutorial three times and then went ahead and installed the dishwasher. The only minor difficulty that I experienced was the finicky process of levelling it - this took me some time because I wanted it to be exact. After about 20 minutes of lowering the back then raising the front then lowering the left… the right… then back… … … I finally got it 😂. Thanks again - really appreciated the effort you put into making this👍👍
I'm glad this video was helpful and appreciate you sharing your experience! I'm a bit of a perfectionist myself and would say I spend the most time leveling and securing the dishwasher when I'm in the field. Different homes can have different issues that complicate that process. Nicely done!
I have little experience with water connections or electrical but your explanations were simple and to the point. I was skeptical when i turned the breaker on then i was skeptical when i did a test run. It worked perfectly. Thx alot for your help, you saved me a $300 install fee

Thank you so much. My dishwasher broke, I had someone give me an almost new LG like the one you’re installing in the video, but no repair service would swap them out!! So I said forget it, I’ll do it myself. Super easy!!
Worst problem I encountered was the hole for the new plug was too small. I just took a hammer and flathead screwdriver and chiseled out a bigger notch. I’ll never pay to install one again!

This video helped me immensely. I have the same exact dishwasher and installed by a LG installer. My question was concerning the electrical receptacle. I’m in need of a receptacle to plug in the RO system we purchased. It’s located under the sink directly beside the dishwasher. With watching your video,I’m certain there is a receptacle just like the one in your video. Now we can pull out the dishwasher,drill a hole in the cabinet wall and plug in the RO system. Thank you very much. You are greatly appreciated.

VERY Good Video. Extremely thorough! You may want to update the electrical connections portion of the video by mentioning that the NEC now requires dishwashers that are using a plug-in AC wall cord to be connected to a GFCI receptacle. Important to mention is that if the dishwasher outlet box has 6 wires (2--blk, 2-wht, & 2-GND) the black HOT supply wire MUST be connected to the brass colored power terminal screw and the white neutral wire to the opposite side silver screw also at the top position receptacle ONLY, or the GFCI function will NOT work properly and function LED on front of receptacle will not be green. The black, & white load wires if any must be connected to the bottom receptacle position screw terminals (if GFCI outlet receptacle is new, the load side will have a piece of yellow tape wrapped around the load connection screws. Both GND wires of course connected to the GREEN GND term. screw at the front botttom.

Dude, Senor, Mister, Friend, you answered my question about the mounting brackets after the Home Depot Salesman was unable to tell me how to connect the dishwasher under the cabinets without existing brackets on the show room floor. Great video. Your in depth instructional video showed me how to level the the rear leg on the dishwasher. Much "much" easier than pulling the unit out, adjusting rear leg, placing the unit back in place only to find out that the dishwasher still requires height/lower adjusting. Again, great video.

Great video. The back top bracket doesn’t have to be removed. It can be removed if space is needed, otherwise it can remain in place.
Ha! Space is now needed…. I have to disconnect the supply line and pull it back out to remove bracket. That’ll teach me!!

@@TheAppliancePlug I installed it, and the dishwasher runs well, but it still needs to be leveled. How do I raise the back foot after pushing the whole thing under the countertop? There's not really any room to raise it before pushing the dishwasher under the counter.

Really great vid! I thought costco was going to install the new one as part of their concierge but alas no. Definitely took longer than you did but with video much less time and the little things like cut water exhaust line if too long etc really helped. Thanks!

Excellent , the tech that installed mine messed up the balancing and securing. Should be a side mount like Ian this video and they did not raise back leg like he does here
