Building a Floor Jack Platform

Building a steel plate for the top of my hydraulic floor jack to lift things like transmissions, transfer cases, etc. Requires a lathe and some very basic metalworking/machining tools. It's a pretty basic machining project that would be good for a beginner.
The idea is that, while the center of gravity still needs to stay between the floor jack's wheels so it doesn't tip over, by having a larger plate I can use blocking so that larger parts don't shift or tip as I'm lifting or lowering them.
And, yes, you can buy things like this. But I had all the materials except the countersink screw already, so I made one instead.
