Spendor - Building a Loudspeaker

Manufacturing a loudspeaker, particularly one that performs as brilliantly as a Spendor, is no easy task. In this video, each stage of the build process has been beautifully documented.
It takes a year to perfect the design of a Spendor loudspeaker. It takes a further six days to construct each pair. This short film provides an insight into the entire process and highlights the level of detail, care and attention applied to all Spendor loudspeakers.

Woofers are made in company. Tweeters are bought at Seas. Some of the crossover components are also made at Spendor. Nice. Cabinets are of great quality, still the Spendor speakers are pricey.

I would like to hear why Spendor does not use wave guide for tweeters. Many others use it to obtain smooth off-axis frequency response curves.
