Hello this was really helpful but I have a question on 12:10. What button do you press to press play (like preview play) to see the petals move instead of scrubbing through the timeline bar? When I press the spacebar it doesn't seem to work.

this was a great video. It reminded me that textures can be used in particle world lol. I made my own sakura petal and coloured it in with a gradient before importing it. Can you also make a Live2d tutorial? I assume you made Chi with it and Chi looks super kawaii ... Every time I try to animate with that stupid program it never animates anything with my rig even though I have my psd file all laid out with the layers -_-

I'm not criticize about your explanation. BUT i'm just adding (maybe) this is some useful information.
I've been following your process, but when time stretch explanation... at me, the animation of the sakura leaves isn't showing up. CMIIW...
I've been search more explanation about this issue, so maybe this is one of the solution is.
FOR ANIMATIONS THAT DOESN'T APPEAR / WORK AFTER EDIT TIME STRETCHED, BEFORE ACTIVATE THE PRE COMPOSE, IT'S BETTER TO SAVE AS THE FILE FIRSTLY. At me, i activated the Transparency Grid.
click at the Leaves scene (Firstly, just back it into the 100 for the time stretch) -> go to the Layer tab -> Pre-Compose -> Move all attributes into the new composition (if there have a checkbox of "Adjust composition duration to the time span of the selected layers" just check it). After this it can be edited for time stretch more than 1800, and it works! i've been tested it until 5000. Maybe it can be more than 5000.
