      I don't think Tamils say that, but there is a man called Alex collier who keeps saying that and Kannada is offshoot of Proto Tamil and Ashokan Prakrit and Sanskrit. Remove Sanskrit from Kannada, will it stand ?

      @@JohnDaniel9 Yes, it will. That's a comman myth that Kannada won't stand without Sanskrit. Efforts are being made to de sanskritise kannada.
      Alex Collier theories are false.

    • @JohnDaniel9
      @JohnDaniel9 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bharathisuresh8207 Everyone knows it's false and I don't think Kannada will sustain without Sanskrit, for that you need to have a historical diction that's free of Sanskrit. Kannada was developed and nurtured by Kadambas, Gangas who reflected Aryan values and roots. There is no book, inscription or literature which proves independent existence of such language.

      @@JohnDaniel9, all that was written was not all that existed. To understand whether Kannada had a diction or not one must know how Kannada separated from Proto-Dravidian language and how the language evolved over a period of time. Dr. DN Shankara Bhatt, a linguist has done great work in this regard.
      Here is a book from him related to this topic. dnshankarabhat.net/kanna%E1%B8%8Da-nu%E1%B8%8Di-na%E1%B8%8Dedu-banda-dari/

      If people get out of Bangalore where people don’t know much about Kannada. People from rural Karnataka who still speak unblemished Kannada. Ranna, one of th greatest Kannada writer mentioned that Kannada is itself pure ghee and not to add an oil of Sanskrit to it.
      Kannada is an important and an antique and one of the most beautiful languages. Most of the current Kannadigas are unfit to speak Kannada.

    I think we have Shatavadhani Dr. R. Ganesh is a master in 17 languages. He is a Tamilian by birth, knows, Kannada very well and got mastery on that language. At Kolar, Telugu is very prominent language. Learnt most of the Indian languages with Sanskrit, Pali, Prakruta. He is a Scholar, and an Engineer. His entire 46 years he has been studying and he has not married. He is an excellent speaker and his lectures are available on TH-cam, the subjects are from A to Z. Greek, Spanish, and many European languages. How the panel experts are not mentioning his name ? It is my question.
