- Drone video showed the extent of devastation left by raging wildfires across Italy this week.
A wildfire turned the hills surrounding the 5th-century-BC temple of Segesta to ash, while raging fires burned through the island of Sicily. Meanwhile, a wildfire that broke out surrounded a beachfront tourist destination in Vieste.
Italian firefighters said they battled nearly 1,400 fires between Sunday and Tuesday, including 650 in Sicily and 390 in Calabria, the southern mainland region.

I'm from Bejaia Algeria the region is very green with rivers, lakes and waterfall, the wildfire did happen in few parts of Bejaia but thanks God people managed to control it.
It is urgent to develop system to prevent it or at least control it totally it will happen every year now. Long ago people use to live in total harmony with nature, it is important to listen to nature, it is the one which feed us, we are part of it, we depend on it. As a berbere we use to live in harmony with nature, but then started to copy the western model of consumerism, capitalism taking more than we need.

All fires where hit by lightning and that can be proven by watching live video of lightning strikes online

It doesn't change the fact, and finding out probably isn't their first priority right now. The large majority of wildfires are accidental, or natural.
There are over 50 different locations on fire in Italy and over 70 different locations on fire in Greece. There are wildfires in over 9 countries in the world right now, on over 4 continents.
No matter how the fire started, there are over 40° C outside and strong winds, spreading the fire and making it impossible for the firefighters to extinguish it on time!
