- Just in time before Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl's release, here's a little project I've been working on: doing a full Badge Quest in Pokemon Shield looking for 8 shinies!

The thing I love about these movies is that instead of just showing the team and battles it feels like every Pokémon has a story behind it and we get the whole experience within and outside of the game. One of my favourite channels on TH-cam

44:54 wait, i had 0 idea this Crawdaunt was a one time spawn! I was shiny hunting Charmander through masuda with my 3 year old brother who liked to help me hatch them, he wandered into the Turrfield river and I watched him encounter a Shiny Crawdaunt. I caught it and was flipping out because he got a shiny that wasn’t even the target from a Masuda hunt. Crazy that its a one time encounter too, glad it was shiny now.
Yeah, younger brothers for whatever reason have insane shiny odds, mine caught a shiny araquinid with a adamant nature and square sparkles, suffice to say, called that pokemon millionare with those kinds of odds (oh and he had just enough badges to catch it, just barely).
@@FatalHog im pretty sure mons that are too high level to be caught are shinylocked, but I heard that a while ago and idk if its true. Thats still crazy though

You're creativity is astounding. Don't get me wrong, it gives me mad scientist playing god vibes with the whole "using a Gameboy SP as a TV" thing, but it's still impressive.
My favorite shiny, a Wooloo I hunted for 3 months has a mark, he’s Pumpkin the Sleepy 🥺♥️

Yeah. I miss waking up on Saturday mornings and watching cartoons with homemade pancakes and eggs that my dad made for me.
Ahh I was wondering when you were gonna do a shiny hunt in the third gym! Fun fact, I did my first nuzlocke in Shield, and me and a friend were discussing which of the three in the gym I should catch for that areas encounter. We settled on Litwick, and as I moved to go get it, I clipped the Sizzilapede. And as I was complaining about being a klutz, the little guy popped little sparkles! One encounter in a location we didn’t know had shinies lol. Definitely a cool place to have a shiny.

My heart goes out to all people who will never experience Matt finding an 8th gen shiny on an sp. May they hopefully experience greatness one day.
I want to do that on my own gameboy advance. Don't have the games yet though. Crossing my fingers to get it for Christmas. I don't wamt the gen 4 remakes because while gen 4 is classic, I want to obtain lots of legendarys. Sword and Shield are perfect for that :)

As someone who is currently shiny hunting while it's raining outside, I can confirm that this statement checks out.
This BQ has got to have the most amount of weird and different ways of hunting shiny pokemon, as well as the most amount of devices displaying a switch screen in history! Very fun movie!

Ok ok I started the same shiny Crawdaunt hunt you did literally like 5 minutes ago, did 2 soft resets and got the shiny! I over react to shinies A LOT but never have i been scared sh**less from a shiny quite like this big BOI! Thank you for inspiring me to do this hunt! 😭🤩

Okay, so I'm glad I finally got to find out other tellings of "The Bingus Zone" because when I was doing my Fomantis shiny hunt in the training lowlands I got bingused to fields of honor, and I had no idea what happened but I got a video saved of it
BTW: I did find the shiny Fomantis (on my birthday) after 2138 encounters and a phased shiny blipbug

Thank you for saying that about shines. I've heard so many times that shines lost their value because they are easier to obtain. I've had trouble getting shines so hearing someone say that they are worthless makes me a bit mad.
And I didn't know you could find shines in the gym if I knew, I would have tried to get a shiny vulpix
Finally, it's great how you do different methods of hunting for your shines. I might go back on shield for a my shiny Nikit/theivul hunt. It has a beautiful shiny and it's one of my most favorite galar pokemon. I recently got a shiny sinistea for Halloween though which was cool.
Not only does this make me want to do a badge quest, this makes me wanna go back and play Super Mario Sunshine
Also, seeing Gen 8 on a Gameboy Advance SP is honestly hella cool to see.

I started a shield badge quest, but I haven't found any shinies yet. I'm not even completely set up yet. My first hunt will be kyogre, but I need to find it in dynamax adventures first. Also, I've been waiting for this video for so long. I've been waiting for this since you mentioned it in a shiny video.
A badge quest means you can’t do any gyms till you find a shiny 1st…
@@jakewalker5522 you can do dynamax adventures with no badges, you just have to reach wild area first before going to crown thundra

Gotta admit, the idea of a Badge Quest is always interesting! Plus, it was quite informative about the different sparkling effects on Shinies. I've seen both, and I was wondering what was up with them myself, but now that I know what's what, I know what to expect once I actually get the darned games.

So, I have the games now, and I gotta admit... It's weird to see the two different forms of shiny sparkles. Best example; I got a shiny Snom (now a Frosmoth) from a random encounter during my main playthrough (yes, she's on my main team) that has the squares, but I recently got a shiny Lanturn from DAs that has the stars!

My team ended up as Coalossal , Sirfetched , Lanturn , Runerigus , Passimian , Grimsnarl , Perserrker , and Flapple, hope to see another quest for both of us with Gen 4 remakes - Buttermander ( Doing first nuzlocke soon )

I lost my previous switch (and so my save file), so because of you I started a badge quest. I'm just before the 3rd gym, got a Nuzleaf in the wild area and Arrokuda in Hulbury, I'm now hunting for Hatenna !

I don't know why anyone would dislike this exclusive new Joltik evolution method. It's brilliant new information, just like when 4Kids told me I could evolve my Arbok into Seviper.
It is crazy how this video is an hour long but feels just like a few minutes whilst watching ^^.
