Many don't know he almost lost everything in the 1990s to alcohol. Had a divorce that forced him to sell some of his prized guitars. Really down and out. But pulled it together, stopped drinking, got healthy and got back on top of his game. Got to hand it to him.
I saw Michael live for the first time in 1977 opening for Rush(an amazing show by the way). He stood there on the right side of the stage, blonde hair covering his face, just shredding. Always a fan
Me too, at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in So Cal. God that was an incredible show! UFO & Rush back to back, loud as hell and at the top of their game

I have always gotten positive vibes from Michael. I can't say the same of some of the other guitar heroes I've had. Once I began to learn more about them it could be an enormous let down. Not so with M.S.
It’s interesting to see his fretting hand and the placement of the thumb shifting so actively this up close and personal in a living area setting playing by himself. I had been a fan of his playing since the 70’s and have watched him live as well as with videos, and never really picked up on that aspect of his playing, great to see this personal interview.

Obviously the owner is selling it so he doesn't care either. Schenker is maybe 100X more creative and better player than Hendrix (who truly is THE most overrated music act of all time).
@@cattnipp The owner cares or he wouldn’t have brought it up. And it’s not fair to say that Schenker is 100x more creative than Hendrix because Hendrix has been deceased for over 55 years now. By the way, Hendrix has sold more music than Schenker ever has, and has influenced more musicians, both professional and amateur, as well as non musicians throughout the world for much longer than Schenker, and was also a pioneer, an innovator, and came up with a sound that was not heard of before. I love Schenker, but if Hendrix were still alive today, or even lived another decade or two past his untimely death who knows what he would have done for the music industry and to music in general as well.

I think he might be superstitious
he’s got a preference for a particular guitar that hes been playing for yrs and thats what he prefers and is part of his sound so why would he care about a semi hollow body or a 60s strat? He’s also probably well aware of the weirdos on the internet who would be quick to say stupid shit like “he doesn’t deserve to play that or hold it” or “it sounds like shit in his hands”

We all have a preference, still every single one of us including those artists peers would have at least asked if they could hold it and possibly play it through an amp.
I guess it’s just how MS rolls.
He’s definitely a different breed.
Obviously the owner is selling it so he doesn't care either. Schenker is maybe 100X more creative and better player than Hendrix (who truly is THE most overrated music act of all time).

The owner cares or he wouldn’t have brought it up.
