  • Isn't it great when something taste great but it's equally as good for you? This Lebanese salad does just that, a super tasty salad that I would consider a super food. Use it as a side dish for your meats, great for BBQs or simply as a meal with Lebanese bread.

    This stuff is DELICIOUS, my mom used to buy it (the brand Joseph’s) and I used to hate it because I didn’t like tomato or onion but as an adult my taste buds have definitely become more open minded and now I can eat this stuff all day

      I like quinoa because it is gluten free. Do you cook quinoa before adding to tabbouleh.

    nice work chef, for adding the secret ingredient mint. but i have to mention that red onion can be replaced with white onion, we rarely use red onions in lebanon. as for the burgol, we dont add hot water; we simply soak it in water for few minutes since we dont want the burgol to cook, then we add it to the rest of the ingredients. other than this it looks yummy. Thank you.

    Almost the perfect recipe except for Ras Alhanot, which is morrocan spice and is not used with middle eastern authentic salads. I haven't tried it but i think Cayenne and paprika make a better taste. And it s better to leave a bite on the burgul, we only soak in warm water for 10 minutes

    • @elizabethanne9954
      @elizabethanne9954 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wafi Kusary - haha paprika and cayanne are not ingredients in Tabouli. That is your own creation.
      And for all the Arabs who claim that it is a recipe from the middle east in general are lying. Tabouli is 100% a Lebanese salad from the region called Mount Lebanon.

      Lys, I picked up this recipe while I was traveling in Beirut Lebanon, . I appreciate your feedback, and if you could share your thoughts on how you think it could be made more authentically? It would be more helpful to all the readers, to instead receive constructive suggestions so that we can all benefit from your input. Thank you!

    Tabouleh is not Lebanese, there is no such thing as Lebanese food, Lebanon was part of Syria and created by the French in 1943. So, if a Lebanese says “this is a Lebanese dish” just ask: it didn’t exist before 1943? All Lebanese food is Syrian/Palestinian. What’s next? Sushi is also Lebanese?
