  • Story Of Pandavas Death In Mahabharat
Mahabharata did not end with the victory of Pandavas and the defeat of or death to the Kauravas. This epic consisted of the death of the Pandavas, who in spite of winning the 18-day war against their cousins, failed to live happy lives. After the great war of Kurukshetra, the Pandavas defeated the Kauravas and ruled over the kingdom for the next 36 years. There is as much to learn from the end of this culturally rich epic. Lord Krishna, along with the Pandavas, lived to win the war but was not able to survive the curse of a mother who lost all her 100 sons in the battlefield. In the fire of Gandhari’s anguish, Krishna and the entire Yadava clan was burnt. Krishna’s death wasn’t the end; it was actually the beginning of the end. Krishna’s death was a major blow to Arjuna. In spite of having everything he had ever desired; he had now lost interest in life. His troubled state of mind took him to rishi (sage) Vyasa. Vyasa muni suggested that he renounce everything and move to the Himalayas. After discussing the plan with his brothers and making Parikshit the king of Hastinapur, he began his journey with his brothers and his wife Draupadi. It is important to mention here that Parikshit was the grandson of Arjuna and the son of Abhimanyu and his wife Uttarā. They began ascending Mount Sumeru. It is believed that at the pinnacle of this mythical mountain are the doors to heaven. Yudhishthira believed that since all six of them had been wronged their entire life and despite that stuck to the path of fairness and justice they would be able to enter heaven in their mortal form. With this belief they set out for their final journey.

This part of the Mahabharat is very intriguing. The explanations of the smells and sounds in the darkness is chilling. Then when it describes them as being allowed into heaven, it doesn't describe them changing places really, but it says that where the stench of death and decay was previously had vanished and was replaced by sweet smells. The darkness and fear gave way to light and contentment. It is one of the more interesting parts of the Mahabharata in my opinion. Thanks

Everything was fine until 7:12 when you got your facts mixed up again. You see, he was the only one who didn't lie about Ashvathama. That's why Khrishna ordered the army to make noise when he responded. Korovas went to heaven, because they repented of their sins while still alive. Pandavas - no. What kind of idea is it to consider yourself worthy of the assumption alive? It just doesn't happen. They were arrogant and convinced that just as they had won the war, they could defeat death. They didn't go to the mountains to meditate. They considered themselves gods. That's why karma got involved in their plans. There is always order.
PS. Khrishna is a God and He accepted the curse and not, as you say, He was unable to escape. Khrishna didn't run away from this curse at all. There was no reason, because Ghandari cursed... herself and her family, i.e. those responsible for the outbreak of the war. Lord Khrishna took it upon himself because Dwarka was going to be destroyed anyway.

Your explanation seems more sensible and plausible then what most youtubers are spewing. What's your source? I'd much rather read the real source's full story, because wherever I hear the story, its misconstrued

This was the biggest mindfuck/plot twist I have ever read in any piece of literature. It took me 6 months to read the Mahabharata and I remember after finishing it, I sobbed at how this was unlike any story I have ever read.

not clear at all, why kaurvas were in heaven, sure they died in battle but fighting as evil , not as good and then what about their past karmas, kaurvas were not saints so they must have done many bad deeds. i am saddened to read bad explanations and that mislead people. jasmine_breeze in comments has much much better explanation.

    1:27 I don't know why people use these image's
    They were kashtriyas not bhramins
Even gods have sacred thread but even the gods don't have any Varna related to them

"Hell" is not a Hindu concept. We should stop talking in Abrahmic terms.

    • @radhikaschwartz3499
      @radhikaschwartz3499 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

Hell is a belief in Hinduism. It’s just not an eternal state like in Islam and Christianity. It is temporary as is heaven.

@@radhikaschwartz3499 Thank you. I objected because the speaker had made the point of mentioning "svarga." I did not see any mention of "naraka." I watched the video again and noticed that "Narak Log" was mentioned. *I stand corrected.*
However, these videos that we put out should inform all audiences about Hindu concepts. Using the terms heaven and hell does not explain the nuances of each versus how the public often understands it. We should not allow people who are not familiar (including our own people) to adopt Abrahamic terms for our concepts.

ya lord krishna would take away all sins of arjun tho... as he said in gita.
unless arjun didnt truly devote himself to krsna after the war.

What does your comment mean? Arjun was a Nar Avatar and he had to suffer his time through hell because he made sins in his human life. The same way, if Supreme God Krishna had committed any sin then he would have to go through his time in Hell as well. Doesn't change the fact that he is Narayana and Arjun is Nar.

@@X1347C The thing is that all the avtars of Lord Vishnu after death goes to Vaikunth no matter what they did sins or punya. Even the dwarpal of Vaikuntha goes there after that even after doing sins .
Arjun was a just former Indra who got cursed by Lord Shiva to take birth in mortal world

@@Sigma01350Iam not fan of Arjuna or karna , but your fact is real that Arjuna was cursed and born as kannapa and after got enlightenment, but still he is the Nara , mentioned by lord krishna . And no way just being son of indra without any proper punya or karma can get Krishna into his vehicle to drive arjuna , and another thing their is nothing that dwarapalak of the lord Vishnu will get direct to vaikunt without any punishment everyone will be go through the hell and after to their own wished lokas . Their is nothing like that vishnu dont receive hell or karma , he received his karma as lord ram struggling hard for wire sita devi to beint a king having several goipkas , fighting with jambhavan to payback his word that given last as lord rama , nara naryan breaking 999 armour and balanced 1 shield of him broked of karna , and many more , he got all the karma and actions performed are tasted in during human life , he may not get hell as he didn't done any wrong to fo through hell but many have enjoyed fruits in heaven or vaikunt .
