I mean i use a quad cortex but i still could steps like these. Compressing the low end and working the DI before it hits the amp in the chain? Hell thats genius.
I bet if you experiment with a multiband compressor and sidechain the higher frequencies with the chorus you could get this effect. I could be wrong tho
Guitar amps fundamentally suck. We try to hi and low pass with speakers/cabs. We have lousy control over eq on the amp. The input needs to be manipulated with pickup choices, boosts, and other trickery. It's a bunch of added unnecessary shit. Give me eq control on my input. Give me a full range cab with eq control over my output. Lastly give me a damn gate. Hell, give me 2. For reasons I can't understand nobody will do that. Just buy a laptop, interface, and PA speaker. This is why amps as we know it will die. They'll end up as expensive studio toys. Relics of the past.
They’ll be fine for most artists and musicians they don’t need that level of control. When you have 8 guitar tracks in Drop F# or something lower, then you have to do a lot more EQ shaping to get everything sit and play nicely but that’s such a small amount of people. It’s easy to get lost in the bubble and think everybody is doing this, in reality it’s Djent guys making music for fellow Djent guys. Which is just a small slice of the pie. Though I’m total on board with forgetting physical gear. I run a flat response speaker and Headrush and adjust to my likings for double drop C#
As a drop F player, I might give Disruptor a try.
i bought it. it has a lot of cool features but to tell you the truth im not that thrilled with the sound. there are better amp sims out there IMO.
Will have to try Saturn in front of the amp, kinda like a multiband tube screamer
Never would of thought to split the tracks the way I do the bass
That's the sauce. Once you get low, enough. Splitting is gas
@Max Alain Two I've always just added a little bit if the DI to get some string noise in there. Definitely trying this later
why not just use a multiband compressor?

not bad, i play a 9 string, its hard to get a good clear tone ill have to try doing this.
I cant wait for the jst dehydrator/jerky maker to come out
Do you know of a chorus plugin that will only effect the highs and not the lows?

It’s like he’s talking to ME 😅
🔥🤠🎸🔥
The lower you can get away with gain the better
Appreciate your products. I don't know who mixes these tracks nowadays but the mix is ass
