    I’m planning on growing amaranth in my garden this year and am very excited to try it. Thank you for these recipes.

    Thank you for the great info!
    A request, please think about turning off the background music while you are talking. I am partially deaf and it's very hard to hear your words over the music. Thank you for understanding.

    I just made it the first time by soaking it in plain water overnight. I was going to drain and rinse the next day, but since I didn’t have cheese cloth, I just cooked it in the soaking water for 20 min. It cooked down into a cream of wheat like texture. I ate it with fresh butter I made from cream and it was delicious. Is it better to drain the soaking water, or do you loose nutrients?

    Great video & i love the music. Please dont remove it. I do see other's comments so i guess when you find the right volume level it'll mesh better....but the song just creates a happy & fun vibe & i want to dance lol Have a great day! 🥰🙏🏽💃

      Thanks so much Dee for watching and not being put off by the music! I very much appreciate your supportive comments. Yes, I agree that I need to figure out the right volume. There's a lot that goes into making the videos engaging and fun. For a little bit there I was discouraged, your comment brightened my day. Sending you lots of lots of love, health and happiness. Thank you again, it meant a lot to me that you wrote.

    Good video. Would you really use 1 cup per portion? I don't know if it's just me i'm 32 year old male 5 12 in height and 1/2 a cup seems like quite a big portion but maybe i'm not eating enough. Just weighed out 100g seemed like quite alot.

    • @kalahealthandwellness
      @kalahealthandwellness  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching and trying it out 🙂Are you talking about half a cup cooked OR half a cup of uncooked then cooked? These little grains do expand after cooking. Amaranth is quite filling.

    • @guitarnotator
      @guitarnotator ปีที่แล้ว

      1 un cooked cup? but I just realized your cup sizes are different to ours. I'm in the UK 1 uncooked cup is 125g here, but that is still to much for me. I'm not good with cup measures so i'm just going to stick to 50g portion soak over night then cook 1 1/2 x the weight of water.@@kalahealthandwellness

    That looks like a very convenient option to make whole grain bread. Instead of grinding it you can just cook it down till you get a dough like consistency.

    I am of Spanish decent. I don't know what LatinX is. Are they Latin x-men? I know it can't be a neutered version of Latin because Latin is already neutered. Latin/Latino/Latina. So what on earth is LatinX supposed to be, who made this shit up?
