oh yeah? try to living paycheck to paycheck. try living in a van with food stamps as your only form of income. surviving on bare minimum is not enough.
Evil is just that. No point in complicating things. They know their time is up and they are busy trying to take as many people to Join Club Hell with them.
People are not okay because of lives full of shock, trauma and fear, instilled in them from early childhood. This leaves them with what the shamans call soul loss. This leaves people without the creative abilities, we were gifted with at birth. People have to know how to retrieve them.
I don't see evil going anywhere soon or having any 'times up' situation imposed on them. That money will be spent on surveillance infrastructure in all major US cities, spy drones, and satellite spyware. All designed to create a tech prison system for the US.

Thanks for the important work!
Love this. Singer hits at one of the root causes behind the current state of the world: not enough people choose to work on themselves─to become better human beings over time. In my opinion, this is one of the main causes of suffering in the world. Hurt, unevolved people will tend to spread pain and suffering themselves. If only schools taught how to work on yourself and become a better person!
Then you've gotta ask yourself why our schools dont interact with Love and care instead of a manic definition of success being the ability to absorb irrelevant knowledge so you can then be released into the world with the one motivation of being BETTER than everyone else ??
Peeps are always working on themselves, some slower then others, and some are in the process of going backwards, which despite our judgement, is still work… because sometimes one has to go backwards before they can go forward

It can only change when the WESTERN LEADERS and the western corrupt intelligence forces and the distorted brainwashing post colonial literature decides to cleanse itself inside out as most of its populace have done and opened their eyes, and these political leaders treat others who are different as EQUALS. Best definition of "power" I have heard: "Power is the ability to define reality and to have other people respond to your definition as if it were their own."
Awesome interview! What a beautiful man. This is where compassion comes in. When you understand your enemies you become compassionate. Wisdom and understanding is power. And once you have it all you desire is sharing it so society can be mended. KNOW THYSELF
Wow I hit the jackpot this am! Two of the most amazing and honest people. Mr. Singer you changed my life as a spiritual mentor and Mr Brand your truth and honesty keep me listening and the sense of humor you have ty!
Jordan Peterson is better. Russell is a newcomer to decency having swerved the edges of disgustingness, in the UK where he is from, we remember. Getting 'religion' does not excuse Russell's dire behaviour, he never repents or apologises, just 'learns'. Jordan Peterson is his nemesis.
@@MG-eh6bx I actually think Brand is a little ahead of Peterson. It’s not the past that determines it. It’s how they are now. I listened to the recent interview between the 2 of them recently and Brand is more compassionate. And dare I say..less egoed. Peterson is often quite immature in his response and approach. I still respect Peterson. Just saying I prefer Brand’s approach and thinking and way of engagement.
This is awesome! It's what I've been trying to work on in my eating disorder recovery. I can't change what other people say and I can't stop the world from talking about the things that upset me, but I can change how I react and deal with it. My nutritional therapist has been so helpful with this too! Great video 🙂
Good point. I know who I am as a person, so I have no need to manipulate others. It is the other people that I wonder about. My advice, trust no one until you really have a chance to see their true character (that could take months), and if the other person doesn't seem right with your gut feeling, distance and avoidance seem to be a good idea.
Oh my heavens, well said. I know SO many manipulators & havnig observed them closely & also experienced their treatment for years, it's obvious that they are very much not okay inside.
This was excellent Russell and shows how we truly have more control for ourselves than we think we do, however it has to be worked on. My challenge is that even though I can be okay with me, it bothers me knowing that others are not okay, therefore causing me to not be okay.
Like many I’m struggling but this made me feel better. Even if it was just for this moment. I didn’t feel alone, and I felt that I have at least some direction in trying to be better for tomorrow. Thank you Mr. Brand.
I find that when I'm starting to feel knocked off balance, that there are several things I can repeat to myself that bring back my balance quickly. I share them here only in case they can help someone else. One related thought along these lines “Be the change you want to see in the world.” It's a quote from Gandhi. This wise quote was born from an understanding of the conclusion one must draw from the line of thinking and represented in this conversation and then recalling the words of the great Buddha himself: “There is no reason to worry about anything. After all, if you can change that which bothers you , then change it and stop worrying. And if you cannot change that which bothers you, worrying will not help.” So these two thoughts get us to the point where you don't feel the need to worry about anything at all because it's pointless and self understanding and self improvement are your only choice. There is a third quote that comes from Hinduism and yoga philosophy that can really help at this point: “everything that happens, happens for good.” And finally, there is a practice that a very wise man once taught me regarding what to do when you're having trouble maintaining a positive attitude: Repeat to yourself up to 108 times if necessary: “Everything will be OK.” If you get as high as 60 or 70 times, you might just start laughing at yourself for your lack of faith!
What a HUGE Blessing Russell, that you are bringing such powerful and compassionate spiritual leaders in to dialogue and bridge the gap between political/economic power over the masses...and real consciousness.THANK you too for being so authentic and vulnerably open about your own past traumas. The other piece of this vital connection is to address the issue of A.I. and the E.T.s who are really behind the "human elites"..because they have NO heart, and NO soul. This is a war between human consciousness, awakening, compassion and Wisdom, v.s. both the heartless Intelligence of the "bad" E.T.s and their human minions, AND the historical ignorance of the "Human species" that precedes our Awakening out of the brainwashing, and conditioning that has appeared to render us powerless. THANK you for co creating this opportunity for more of us to Awaken..
That's a great comment! Very thoughtful and genuinely loving. Thank you for your love! This place needs more love, nothing else. Not being ok, LOVE IS THE ANSWER!
This man is so wise! We cannot be miserable all our lives, and especially about things we have absolutely no control over. Do what we can for humanity and don't let the evil extinguish our light! Excellent !
Of the hundreds of books I've read, the hours I spend researching spirituality, no one has worded this key to happiness, radical acceptance, letting go of conditions quite like Mr Singer in this here conversation. This is an incredible talk, I can't wait to listen to the whole thing! Thank you!
Sounds like you are a seeker of truth. Myself as well. There are two documentaries I recommend to any truth seeker which are extremely relevant to what’s going on in the world today. One is The Greatest Story Never Told and the other is Europa:Last Battle. They are long documentaries, but worth the time invested. They also give resources for lots of books that support the claims. TGSNT is also a book, but I think the doc is more powerful. Happy learning!

Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it" Bruce Lee This is the first i've heard from Michael Singer but i immediately connected to what he explained as i came to the same conclusions on my own through many trials and difficulties i've faced in my life and it's helped me to become free of my past mental health issues and handle any situation in life with an open mind and kindness.
Let it go peacefully, thats the key. Never had any therapy or support for all the things i went through but with acceptance and humility, I let it all go.
Russell, you chose a great person to interview. He points out the core issues about how we all deal. Can't expect everyone else to deal the same way. It takes time, and being an example is powerful. Russell, don't sell yourself short. You are a very profound and powerful example.
So profound. Maybe if those of us who are willing to work on ourselves to achieve this state, can produce a positive movement of enough people and set an example that will attract other unhealthy people to make a choice to change. The attraction caused by seeing differences between lifestyles of people happy within vs unhappy within. Then when the needed number of people try to live a life that doesnt support the top 1%, then maybe the world can change? Localism, self sufficiency, common good, humility, love, respect?

I absolutely agree with this conversation, not so long ago I decided to look into my soul, I needed to forgive many , but more importantly I needed to forgive myself, so I asked God almighty to give me the strength and help to do it and of course his forgiveness. After that day I felt so much lighter and happier. There are times that I faulter but when that happens I remember the things I’m thankful for. May you all find happiness inside you, God bless ❤️🙏
Thank you Russell for being raw in this interview. I think what causes a lot of strife with humans who see people suffering around them and who want things to be better is a lack of understanding that we are all where we are, in mental state, space and in time exactly where we are meant to be given our personal experiences and decisions, whether good or bad, and that's ok. We are all here to learn and grow as souls and we are going to make mistakes and we are going to affect other people. But trust that we are all heading in the same direction, back to source, back to love, even if we take very different paths to get there ❤

I work as a behaviorist and I love how you mentioned how the mind and emotions is the sum of past learning and experience. However, failing to become the objective compassionate observer is often where my clients (and myself) get stuck when changing their behavior and becoming more flexible in the face of aversive stimuli. Being an objective observer of our internal and external environment has been the only way I've seen myself and my clients make progress toward personal or behavioral goals. I would love to see more of this in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. Currently, we focus on only changing/manipulating the environment to change behavior but this seems to overshadow how we address private events like emotions when faced with aversive stimuli. Much love to both of you!

He says two things immediately that contradict themselves: first, if people are okay, their perception of corruption doesn’t exist because he implies corruption isn’t real but perceived, second, that it does exist within the people in power because they aren’t okay.
Working on yourself is one of the most difficult things to accomplish. To be truthful and seeing flaws of the self can make you humble. No one I know has a life free of pain or problems. I have never met a single person who was truly confident, happy or didn't question their own choices. There was only one person in history who was perfect, and look what happened to him. I am doing my best to be kind to others and myself.
This guy hit the spot. It’s interesting because, i instinctively know all this. But, we all kinda have to keep reminding ourselves these things until it sticks permanently. Sometimes, someone can tell you something a million times, you know it , you remember it, until one day, you truly understand it. Then it sticks. Or sometimes you do know it within but the outside pulls you off course, until one day someone explains it in a different way and you understand it better. There really is so many ways to understanding something. What works for you might not work for me. I do think it’s the manner in which you explain things that really helps.
Wouldn't it be great to live in a society where no pain and suffering exists. However being human and on this platform of existence we have individual path of destiny.

One related thought along these lines “Be the change you want to see in the world.” It's a quote from Gandhi.
This wise quote was born from an understanding of the conclusion one must draw from the line of thinking and represented in this conversation and then recalling the words of the great Buddha himself:
“There is no reason to worry about anything. After all, if you can change that which bothers you , then change it and stop worrying. And if you cannot change that which bothers you, worrying will not help.”
So these two thoughts get us to the point where you don't feel the need to worry about anything at all because it's pointless and self understanding and self improvement are your only choice.
There is a third quote that comes from Hinduism and yoga philosophy that can really help at this point:
“everything that happens, happens for good.”
And finally, there is a practice that a very wise man once taught me regarding what to do when you're having trouble maintaining a positive attitude:
Repeat to yourself up to 108 times if necessary: “Everything will be OK.”
If you get as high as 60 or 70 times, you might just start laughing at yourself for your lack of faith!

True. The hardest part is to get beyond yourself and be able to make rational decisions.

How does one become a behaviorist?
@@glenndavis4452 Her job is mostly to help the corporations to consciously and intelligently manipulate the customer's behaviour by making changes to their environment. Why? In order to attract them and maximize the profits or make them behave in predictable ways. Targeting emotions and innermost desires to override the rational side of people is a trick that politicians, marketing and propaganda do all the time. Illusionists do that too. If you influence someone's idea of reality you can influence him. Social networks and mainstream media do that on a massive scale literally herding people.

I pray every day for every one in the world to be enlightened wake up and decide to stop hurting others,to set people free and to help wherever they can .the more praying for this the better.. we are all hurting somehow.. and yes why does the bully do it? He's not happy with himself/ herself.. we all need to help each other in so many ways.. praying which sends out vibes of love and kindness I believe will help
Hurt people hurt people. Truth is we wouldn’t do most things if we were at peace with ourselves. It’s a conflict of the ego only humans have. All issues are spiritual issues 🙏🏻

What an amazing discussion, absolutely fantastic.
I don’t watch every video you put out, because I feel your message walks a fine line between adding to the “problem”, and solutions to the “problem”.
This video’s message is spot on, and from reading some of the comments, your subscribers really just don’t get it; you have a huge task ahead of you😂😳😱

He is an amazing sage and I have learned so much from him! It is great to see him on this show!
Russell you described yourself and it is exactly how I feel. I live my life trying to live the path of love and I give of myself in love and try to in everything I do but in mind I feel I should be more and I want to be excepted and loved by everyone as I give love. That's me though and someone has learned different then me. I know the truth I know as one is the answer but struggle myself with what I can't change and sometimes feel broken. I meditate every night for humanity to see love in everything and come together in love as one. The human condition is mind boggling. One love to all and thank you my brother for these beautiful teachings. Together we can change and learning self love.
I like that, "We are not the sum of our experiences... We are a consciousness that's aware that our mind is the sum of our experiences" we have to manage our minds state so that our consciousness can be happy. 😊 🧘♂️
Russell thank you so much 🙏 there is way to much b.s. getting a pass these days
Two great thinkers of our time. Nice work!
I have no control over all the madness I see in the world, and that makes me “not okay.” I see wrongdoing, suffering, stupidity, ignorance, and I feel helpless to fix any of it.
R.B. Is an amazing person !! 💯 You have done such a wonderful job and I’m proud of you. ! So are all these other 6 million viewers.
Remain FEARLESS. No one has control over you but you! They’d love for you to believe otherwise but you know the truth.

Possibly the wisest person seen on your channel Russell. The problems in life we have are because we don't fully understand Life. This guy definitely has one of the most valuable answers to this. If you really do read this chat Russell have a look at my next YT video this week. It could really help you in your Journey I feel.🙏
YES
We have been brainwashed since day 1. As a kid I remember being SO HAPPY, then growing up it gets kicked and punched out of you, not being able to control your external experience is hard, you expect others to be happy like you, then you get a kid slapping you, turning you unhappy, and the cycle goes into adult life but becomes more psychological. It's difficult.
Lied to and brainwashed since day 1 my friend
Russell you are a Saint compared to the so called world leaders and big business operators. You provide an Essential, Ray of Light in a society run by fear
Russel I don't know if youll read this but feel this whole section, especially the part where you said you don't feel allright is about accepting the fact we live in a broken world and that we are under constant attack. The only way to be "alright" again is accepting that God made you ON purpose WITH a purpose. And that you are loved unconditionally. Keep it up, brother.
