I've lived in the North with snow and ice most of my life (63), and I have never had a car that did not have this problem. Don't make it sound like it only happens to Telsa's; it doesn't. The difference is other manufacturers have "never" provided a fix for it. You were always on your own. Good for Telsa to try and provide a solution for their owners.

I've lived in the North with snow and ice most of my life (63), and I have never had a car that did not have this problem. Don't make it sound like it only happens to Telsa's; it doesn't. The difference is other manufacturers have "never" provided a fix for it. You were always on your own. Good for Telsa to try and provide a solution for their owners.

@@emmamcg7761 the reason this isn’t actually a problem is when he opens the app you can litterly see the defrost car option you just remote start your car and it will melt the ice so that yes you can still open the door when ice freezes the whole door closed

@@dublinpatterson8200 that might heat the inside but not along the door crack because the rubber around the door helps to seal it i have automatic starter on a truck of mine let it run for 45min with heater running and it wouldn't melt the outside

Remote start with the heater probably works but I don't know if the heater kicks on when started like the vehicles I have.
