This was the most threatening dialogue John Wayne ever uttered. I remember seeing this as a kid, and saying, "holy shit". It was one of the first times I ever swore in front of my dad.
Love this scene. One of the best moments in a Wayne film. Great dialogue and the two main guys at their best. The film itself is mildly entertaining enough, but I'm always waiting for this scene to come along.
That's funny how people are, without a humor weapon, people act differently, put a gun in a man's hand and everything changes, and not for the good, look at cop's, and that's just one example.

One of my favorite movie scenes.
Best moment in film ever. Love how the two leads end up saying the same words. Sooooo well done
All these years later, I still get chills.

@@jeffersonrundell7540 Ever since I was a kid, I loved Boone playing such a confident, coldblooded gunman.

John Wayne is awesome!!!!!!!!!! My mother was the one that got me into his westerns.
josh52345 My grandad got me hooked on John Wayne
Big Jake was some superior writing to be sure and Wayne vs Boone is legendary stuff.

My favorite part of my favorite movie
now THIS is how you talk to a villain.
I remember being one angry little kid at the way Richard Boone (a great western villain) was talking to John Wayne and then things got interesting.
legendary
One of the scene
Excellent. ♡ T.E.N.
I feel as if Tarantino looked at this scene and its excellent dialogue (as well as Elmore Leonard's writing) as an inspiration for script writing.
I think you're right.
Right on
This movie was written by the same writers as Dirty Harry
Richard Boone is one of the few “worthy” bad guys in John Wayne’s movies. Him and Lee Marvin.
Richard Boone added a lot of gritty realism to Duke's later westerns.
"That's the stuff dreams are made of." 😋 "What's a Million dollars look like John?" 😁😕😠😂😂😂
This is an extremely violent ending.

I always here "Kill the BOY!!" at the ending
Same. I was waiting for that.
Scratch my truck, your fault, my fault, …..
Yea, something is wrong.
Like Trump negotiating with the Chinese, the Iranians, or the Liberals...
Wayne had integrity. Trump is an asshat.
@@geralddavis3098 You would know about asshats...
